The posting

Overview:

The E-Commerce Analyst, Forecasting & Planning will support the growth of Veronica Beard’s global e-commerce business through forecasting, business analysis, and actionable insights. Reporting to the SVP of E-Commerce, this person will partner with Digital Marketing, Site Merchandising, Digital Product, Planning, Finance, and Data to build forecasts, assess performance, and identify risks and opportunities.

This role combines detailed analytical work with a broader understanding of the business. The ideal candidate will be curious, commercially minded, and comfortable working through ambiguity. This person will connect customer, marketing, product (inventory), and site performance trends to financial outcomes, clearly communicating what is changing, why it matters, and where action is needed.

Responsibilities:

Forecasting & Business Planning:

  • Develop and maintain e-commerce demand forecasts across regions, incorporating traffic, conversion, average order value, channel performance, customer trends, promotional activity, and product availability.
  • Translate demand forecasts into shipment and net sales expectations, accounting for fulfillment timing, cancellations, and returns in partnership with Planning, Finance, and Logistics.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing, Site Merchandising, and Planning to validate assumptions and align forecasts with marketing investment, product launches, promotional plans, and inventory availability.
  • Partner with Merchandising and Planning teams to assess inventory needs against e-commerce demand, highlighting availability constraints, lost sales opportunities, and potential excess inventory.
  • Work with CRM and Data teams to incorporate new and returning customer behavior, purchase frequency, and retention trends into business analysis and forecasting.
  • Support annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasts, and long-range planning, maintaining clear assumptions and reconciling e-commerce forecasts with Finance and Planning.

Business Analysis & Reporting:

  • Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly e-commerce performance reporting, providing a clear view of results against plan, forecast, and prior year.
  • Analyze traffic, conversion, average order value, demand, shipments, returns, and net sales to identify the drivers of performance.
  • Translate analysis into concise business updates, proactively identify risks and opportunities, quantify their potential impact, and recommend next steps.
  • Partner with Data and Analytics to improve reporting accuracy, consistency, and efficiency, reducing manual work where possible.
  • Lead e-commerce performance analysis for seasonal hindsight reviews, translating findings into recommendations for future plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in e-commerce analytics, merchandise or demand planning, FP&A, consulting, investment banking, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong quantitative skills and experience building forecasts, financial models, or business cases.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear conclusions and actionable recommendations.
  • Familiarity with merchandising concepts, inventory management, and returns forecasting preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
  • A proactive, collaborative approach, with the confidence to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and work independently.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
