Dakota Veterinary Center is looking for a Veterinary Technician Manager to lead and develop our technician and veterinary assistant team while still remaining connected to hands-on patient care.

This isn’t a desk-only management position. We’re looking for a leader who enjoys developing people, improving workflow, setting strong clinical standards, and jumping in alongside the team when needed.

What You'll Do

You’ll help lead the day-to-day success of our technician and assistant team, including:

• Coaching, mentoring, and developing technicians and veterinary assistants
• Supporting onboarding and hands-on clinical training
• Creating clear expectations and accountability across the team
• Coordinating daily workflow, staffing, and patient care needs
• Helping technicians utilize and grow their clinical skills
• Maintaining strong medical, safety, and patient-care standards
• Improving efficiency and communication between our doctors and support team
• Supporting anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, treatments, and patient care
• Stepping onto the floor and working alongside your team when needed

Who We're Looking For

You may already be a Technician Manager, Lead LVT, Technician Supervisor, or experienced LVT who is ready for more leadership responsibility.

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• Current New York State Veterinary Technician licensure
• Strong hands-on veterinary technician experience
• Leadership, supervisory, training, or mentorship experience
• Confidence with anesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing
• Experience with dentistry and dental radiography
• Strong venipuncture, IV catheter, laboratory, radiology, and patient-care skills
• The ability to coach others while also holding people accountable
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Compensation & Benefits

$35.00–$38.00 per hour, based on experience.
