Seasonal Maintenance Mechanic

Schedule: Monday - Thursday Part-Time

Under the general direction of the Maintenance Team Leader, the Seasonal Maintenance Mechanic will support the maintenance and machine shop team at our Jonestown Distribution Center. This role performs a variety of general and technical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance functions across equipment, systems, and facilities.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Follow all company safety, attendance, and security procedures while helping maintain a safe working environment.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot equipment using diagnostic and root-cause analysis.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs using mechanical and electrical schematics, manuals, specifications, and written or verbal instructions.
  • Work with equipment vendors and internal partners as needed to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Partner with other mechanics and team members while sharing technical knowledge and communicating effectively.
  • Perform predictive and preventive maintenance to help maintain equipment performance and extend equipment life.
  • Work with low-voltage AC and DC systems up to 480V/3 phase.
  • Safely use hand tools, power tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing and monitoring equipment.
  • Use a computer to document work and access necessary systems and applications.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of related maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or industrial experience preferred.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Training or certifications in electro-mechanical or machining trades are a plus.
  • Experience with ASRS shuttle systems, tilt-tray or high-speed sortation systems, machine shop equipment, or automated packaging machinery is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to climb and work at heights of up to 45 feet.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Hiring Range:

$22.00 USD - $27.50 USD per hour
