Additional Requirements

Ao Enfermeiro e/ou Auxiliar de Saúde, compete:

a) manter a farmácia, enfermaria e isolamento em perfeito estado de conservação, ordem, limpeza e higiene;

b) comunicar, por escrito, ao Comandante, via Imediato, sempre que internar qualquer pessoa na enfermaria de bordo, bem como a existência de qualquer pessoa atacada de moléstia infectocontagiosa ou sujeita à notificação compulsória, providenciando, nesses casos, as medidas necessárias para evitar o contágio da moléstia;

c) cumprir, rigorosamente, as instruções do Departamento Nacional de Saúde ou de outro órgão governamental competente;

d) examinar, diariamente, os gêneros que saírem dos paióis e câmaras frigoríficas de bordo, para a preparação dos alimentos;

e) assistir, obrigatoriamente, a entrada do material de rancho a bordo, a fim de examinar a sua qualidade, comunicando ao Comandante, via Imediato, qualquer irregularidade, inclusive sobre o estado dos locais onde são guardados os mantimentos;

f) fiscalizar o embarque de passageiros por ocasião de sua entrada a bordo, recusando todos aqueles que forem portadores de moléstia infectocontagiosa ou de outras, que por sua natureza não possam ser tratadas durante a viagem;

g) acompanhar o Comandante por ocasião das inspeções às diferentes dependências de bordo;

h) manter-se a par do estado de saúde dos tripulantes e dos que não estiverem em condições de permanecer a bordo, informando ao Imediato;

atender, independente de horário, a qualquer acidente pessoal ocorrido a bordo, prestando à vitima os socorros de urgência necessários e, como técnico, classificando as lesões ;

j) atender à visita das autoridades sanitárias nos portos nacionais e estrangeiros;

k) prestar informações ao Comandante, via Imediato, sobre o estado sanitário de bordo;

l) acompanhar a bordo os serviços de desratização, dedetização, desbaratização, fumigação, descontaminação e desinfecção;

m) permanecer no posto médico de bordo durante o horário previamente determinado pelo Comandante;

n) manter, devidamente inventariado, todo o material de saúde (material cirúrgico, medicamentos e utensílios de farmácia) e material de primeiros socorros, zelando pela sua conservação e respondendo por qualquer falta a encontrada;

o) formular os pedidos de medicamentos e materiais necessários, encaminhando- os ao Comandante, via Imediato; e

p) apresentar relação do material de saúde existente a bordo que tiver que ser entregue às autoridades de cada porto.
