Head of Technical Delivery

VGW is an interactive entertainment company, harnessing technology and creativity to deliver world-class, free-to-play online social games.

We have an exciting opportunity within our Technology team and are currently looking for a Head of Technical Delivery.

In this role, you will be a strategic architect behind how we turn high-level product vision into predictable, high-impact execution across an engineering organization of ~400 people. You will have full autonomy to establish modern delivery frameworks, drive data-backed visibility through Jira and lead a distributed team across Poland and Australia. It’s a high-impact leadership role designed to bridge Product and Engineering, eliminating friction and keeping our global delivery pipelines moving smoothly.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Design, implement, and evolve lean delivery frameworks that unify distributed engineering teams across time zones into a single, high-velocity operational rhythm.
  • Proactively map cross-functional dependencies and maintain active risk registers to surface bottlenecks and resolve delivery blockers before they impact the roadmap.
  • Establish metrics-driven tracking systems to translate granular operational data into strategic insights for engineering leadership and the CTO.
  • Continuously assess end-to-end delivery flows to identify systemic inefficiencies and introduce targeted structural changes that maximize engineering throughput.
  • Partner closely with Engineering Leaders and Product Managers to align capacity, resolve standoffs, and act as the principal escalation point for complex delivery trade-offs.
  • Manage and scale a distributed team, coaching them to operate as high-leverage technical partners to engineering squads.
  • Build and champion an enterprise-wide community of practice that sets clear operational standards, rituals, and best practices across the ~400-engineer organization.

What you will bring to the role:

  • 10+ years of experience leading technical delivery or engineering functions at a global scale.
  • Experience building a delivery or PMO function from the ground up within a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment.
  • Advanced, hands-on Jira expertise to map cross-team dependencies, build delivery plans, and track flow metrics (cycle time, throughput).
  • Exceptional ability to lead and influence senior stakeholders across Engineering and Product without direct hierarchical authority.
  • Deep background in agile at scale (e.g., SAFe) and Domain-Driven Design, prioritizing business velocity over textbook dogma.
  • Experience managing remote delivery teams across significant time zones, with full flexibility for periodic travel.
