The posting

Imagine yourself…

  • Owning the safety and environmental compliance of a full manufacturing site, with visible, everyday impact on the people who work there.
  • Coaching and building safety culture on the floor — not just writing policy from behind a desk.
  • Being part of a strong, connected EHS community across Videojet and the broader Veralto network.

It's possible with a role at Videojet.

Videojet Technologies is a world-leader in the product identification market, providing in-line printing, coding, and marking products, application specific fluids, and product life cycle services. We partner with customers in the consumer-packaged goods, pharmaceutical, and industrial goods industries to improve their efficiency, to protect and grow their brands, and to stay ahead of industry trends and regulations. We provide technology leadership in continuous ink jet (CIJ), thermal ink jet (TIJ), laser marking, thermal transfer overprinting (TTO), case coding and labeling, and wide array printing.

We believe that real breakthroughs come from teams that think big and respect each other's differences – different ideas, different perspectives, and different experiences. We encourage all voices to be heard, both internally as we collaborate and externally as we listen to our customers' most pressing needs. And we would love to have you on this journey with us! Apply today.

We Offer:

  • Competitive vacation and time-off benefits
  • Professional onboarding and training programs
  • Career coaching and development opportunities
  • Comprehensive health benefits
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • A collaborative team environment with strong growth potential

We are hiring a hands-on, practitioner-level EHS Business Partner to lead safety, environmental compliance, and culture-building at our Elk Grove ink manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for someone who is a teacher, coach, and doer — deeply experienced in chemical/solvent operations and passionate about building strong safety engagement on the floor.

The EHS Business Partner will oversee daily EHS operations, regulatory compliance, training, and continuous improvement. This leader will work shoulder-to-shoulder with production teams to strengthen safety culture, drive measurable performance, and ensure written program compliance across the site.

This position is based at Videojet's manufacturing facility in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

In This Role, a Typical Day Will Look Like:

  • Daily EHS Management — Lead day-to-day oversight of safety, environmental, and industrial hygiene activities across production, labs, and warehousing.
  • Training & Coaching — Deliver practical, hands-on training that builds capability and confidence across all shifts.
  • Risk-Based Safety & Compliance — Build and execute risk-based safety and compliance measures that prioritize controls, reduce exposure potential, and proactively identify hazards. Use risk insights to drive stronger associate engagement and visible leadership involvement.
  • Kamishibai Audits — Implement and manage Kamishibai layered process audits to reinforce safe behaviors and verify compliance.
  • KPI Development — Create meaningful, measurable KPIs that track leading and lagging indicators, drive accountability, and support continuous improvement.
  • Safety Culture & Engagement — Build strong buy-in at all levels through coaching, communication, recognition, and visible leadership presence.
  • Written Program Compliance — Maintain and update OSHA/EPA-required written programs (LOTO, HazCom, RCRA, Respiratory Protection, Emergency and Spill Response, etc.).
  • Chemical & Solvent Safety — Oversee safe handling, storage, transfer, and disposal of inks, solvents, and hazardous materials in a production environment.
  • Incident Investigation — Lead root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and reporting.
  • Emergency Preparedness — Manage spill response readiness, respirator programs, and emergency drills.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership — Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, and leadership to embed EHS into daily workflows.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other engineering or science-focused field is required.
  • 5+ years of EHS experience in chemical, solvent, ink, coatings, or similar manufacturing.
  • Proven success as a hands-on practitioner who works directly with operators and supervisors.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA 1910, RCRA hazardous waste, chemical safety, and industrial hygiene.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive engagement, influence behavior, and build safety culture.
  • Associate/Certified Safety Professional (ASP/CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or other EHS-related certification preferred.
  • Experience managing/handling compliance issues, permitting, manufacturing operations, OSHA/EPA programs, regulatory reviews, permit preparation, reporting, and record keeping.
  • Experience with flammable liquid — Class I, Div. I safety and compliance regulations.
  • ISO 14001 Lead Auditor experience preferred.
  • Some travel of up to 10-15% may be required for benchmarking and Kaizen activities at other Videojet facilities.

Preferred Certifications

  • CSP
  • CIH
  • CHMM
  • OSHA 30-Hour

What Makes You a Great Fit

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
