About Vilambo Vilambo Private Limited is an early-stage AI startup building products for the US market. We're a small, high-ownership team that moves fast and builds things that matter. We're growing and need our first Operations Manager to be the backbone of the company.
Job Summary As Operations Manager, you will own HR, operations, team coordination, hiring, and compliance for Vilambo. This is a hands-on execution role — you will not just plan or delegate, you will do the work yourself. Key Responsibilities Human Resources Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding for employees and interns Draft and maintain offer letters, employment contracts, and HR policies Handle leave management, attendance tracking, and basic payroll coordination Support intern performance evaluations and reviews
Operations Maintain and organize internal tools (Zoho Cliq, Zoho Workspace, internal documentation) Coordinate tasks and follow-ups between the founder and the team Manage vendor relationships, subscriptions, and basic procurement Keep internal documentation up to date and accessible
Team Coordination Lead day-to-day coordination of the operations team Run daily standups, track task progress, and escalate blockers to the founder Ensure the team meets deadlines and stays organized
Hiring & Recruitment Write and post job descriptions across job portals Screen applications, coordinate interview schedules, and communicate with candidates Maintain the hiring pipeline and talent tracker
Compliance Ensure compliance with applicable Indian labor regulations Maintain employee documentation, contracts, and audit records Support data privacy compliance processes in coordination with the tech team
Required Skills & Qualifications 1–2 years of experience in operations, HR, administration, or a similar generalist role. Strong written and spoken English — most communication is in English Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable — does not drop the ball Self-directed and comfortable working without supervision Must be hands-on — this role requires doing the work, not just managing or assigning it Comfortable with remote and async work culture Proficiency with standard digital tools (email, spreadsheets, Zoom, task trackers)
Preferred Qualifications Prior experience at a startup or tech company Basic knowledge of Indian labor law (PF, Shops & Establishments Act, employee contracts) Experience managing a small team or coordinating cross-functional work Exposure to US work culture or US-customer-facing environments Graduate degree in Business Administration, HR, or a related field
