This gig is all about delivering exceptional swim classes to children and adults, and ensuring an extraordinary experience for all. You’ll provide a safe environment and guarantee a fun and easy way to learn how to swim.

A day in the life

Welcome swimsters (and carers) and help them find whatever they need or whatever they’re looking for.

Provide heartfelt service and deliver exceptional swim classes in line with our customer experience strategy and brand standards.

Create an environment where swimsters are so engaged and entertained, they don’t even realise they’re learning to swim.

Embrace feedback and suggestions to improve swim program delivery.

Keep the swimsters area safe and clean… considering equipment and surrounds.

Always advocate water safety and swim survival skills.

Ensure an overall safe environment for students, carers and all of the team (including you).

Naturally act as a brand ambassador and comfortably communicate what differentiates our swimsters program from the market.

Ensure all interactions are warm, queries are answered and feedback handled effectively.

Find ways to give that little bit extra… especially when it’s unexpected.

To land this gig… and your ongoing mindset

You have your AUSTSWIM certificate, relevant experience in a swim school, your first aid, flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule and your Working with Children Check. You may also have your Infant and Preschool Aquatics qual, Access and Inclusion qual or Teacher of Adults qual. A+ for you.

You have aligned experience. You love to deliver educational (yet entertaining) swim lessons, building trust and safety. You’re well versed across various ages and skill levels.

You are people-focused. You enjoy teaching children to swim. You’re warm, honest and genuine. Delivering supreme swim experiences makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

You are self-assured. You listen intently. You speak eloquently. You can connect with anyone and you’re comfortable communicating at all levels. You’re authentic when you express yourself. People trust you.
