The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Corporate Banking based in Brazil.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to build and evolve secure, scalable software solutions for corporate banking and transaction banking services. In this role, you will develop cloud-native applications and microservices that support the complex needs of large enterprises and financial institutions. You will work primarily with Golang and AWS, contributing to architecture, infrastructure automation, testing, and production reliability. Collaborating with product managers and cross-functional engineering teams, you will transform business requirements into robust technical solutions. This remote opportunity offers the chance to influence platform architecture, solve challenging distributed-systems problems, and contribute to the continued evolution of critical financial technology.

Accountabilities

  • Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, reliable services using Golang or other suitable JVM-based technologies in cloud environments.
  • End-to-End Delivery: Take ownership of the software development lifecycle, including technical planning, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Microservices Architecture: Design and evolve distributed microservices, evaluating trade-offs involving performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Automated Testing and Quality: Develop and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, performance, and end-to-end tests to strengthen system quality and resilience.
  • Cloud Infrastructure and Automation: Provision and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices, supporting reliable deployments and infrastructure evolution.
  • AWS and Event-Driven Solutions: Build and maintain cloud-native, event-driven services using AWS technologies such as SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3, and EventBridge.
  • Monitoring and Incident Response: Monitor application health through logs, metrics, tracing, and alerts; troubleshoot distributed-system issues and contribute to incident response and operational excellence.
  • API Design and Documentation: Design and document APIs using tools such as Swagger and OpenAPI, along with flow diagrams and technical documentation that support developers and external consumers.
  • Code Reviews and Technical Leadership: Participate in code reviews, share constructive feedback, and contribute to technical decisions concerning architecture, performance, reliability, and long-term platform development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and other stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions and align implementation with product goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about emerging technologies, engineering best practices, and AI-assisted development tools, sharing knowledge and identifying opportunities to improve delivery efficiency and software quality.
  • Professional Experience: At least five years of experience as a software engineer working with production systems. The role also requires a bachelor's degree, an associate's degree, or at least three years of relevant work experience.
  • Programming Languages: Strong experience with Golang or JVM-based programming languages.
  • Distributed Systems: Demonstrated experience designing, building, and operating microservices and distributed systems in cloud environments.
  • Troubleshooting: Proven ability to diagnose, debug, and resolve complex issues in distributed production systems.
  • Testing Expertise: Strong knowledge of automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, performance, and end-to-end testing.
  • AWS Services: Practical experience with AWS services such as SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3, and EventBridge, particularly for cloud-native and event-driven applications.
  • Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD: Experience with Terraform and deployment automation tools such as ArgoCD, Jenkins, Codefresh, or equivalent technologies. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices is expected.
  • Containers and Orchestration: Advanced practical experience using Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
  • APIs and Technical Documentation: Experience designing and documenting APIs with Swagger/OpenAPI and creating clear technical documentation for development teams and external consumers.
  • Databases and Data Modeling: Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling, with familiarity with non-relational data strategies.
  • Observability and Reliability: Understanding of monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, alerting, and operational practices that help maintain reliable systems.
  • Technical Decision-Making: Ability to contribute to architectural discussions and make informed decisions about scalability, performance, reliability, and system evolution.
  • Language Proficiency: English proficiency at B1 level or above, equivalent to intermediate proficiency.
  • Location: Must be based in Brazil.
  • Preferred Industry Experience: Experience with mission-critical systems, financial services, payment platforms, or authorization systems is an advantage.
  • Additional Advantages: Familiarity with observability tools for distributed systems, AWS certifications, and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, GPT, or Claude is desirable.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong problem-solving skills, clear technical communication, and the ability to work effectively with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Remote Work: Fully remote position for professionals based in Brazil. Occasional attendance at a company office may be requested with advance notice.
  • Technical Impact: Opportunity to contribute to corporate banking and transaction banking platforms serving large enterprises and financial institutions.
  • Engineering Challenges: Work with modern cloud technologies, distributed systems, microservices, infrastructure automation, and event-driven architectures.
  • Professional Development: Opportunities to deepen expertise in cloud engineering, software architecture, financial technology, and production reliability.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work with cross-functional teams on technical strategy, platform evolution, and continuous improvement.
  • AI-Assisted Engineering: Opportunity to explore AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality.
  • Compensation and Additional Benefits: Salary, healthcare coverage, bonuses, and other specific employee benefits were not detailed in the original job posting.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
