Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa is seeking a Manager, Security and Safety who shares our passion for excellence and is committed to creating a safe, secure, and exceptional environment for our guests and employees. As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will oversee security and safety operations, drive compliance with resort and regulatory standards, support emergency preparedness initiatives, and foster a culture of safety across the property. This position reports directly to the Director, Security and Safety.
A Maldivian work permit will be provided by the resort if required.
What you will do:
- Lead and oversee all security and safety operations across the resort, ensuring the protection of guests, employees, visitors, and resort assets.
- Develop, implement, and continuously enhance security policies, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies in line with Four Seasons standards and industry best practices.
- Manage the resort's crisis management, emergency response, fire safety, and evacuation plans, ensuring preparedness for all potential incidents and emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with all local laws, statutory requirements, and safety regulations, including fire and life safety standards, building safety requirements, and operational compliance protocols.
- Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, safety inspections, fire alarm testing, and emergency evacuation drills, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Lead investigations into incidents involving guests, employees, contractors, or resort property, ensuring thorough documentation, reporting, and follow-up.
- Oversee incident management and response for matters including theft, property damage, medical emergencies, disorderly conduct, security threats, power failures, and other operational disruptions.
- Maintain accurate security records, incident reports, key control procedures, lost and found processes, and staff movement documentation in accordance with company standards.
- Train, coach, and develop the Security team and resort employees on security awareness, fire and life safety procedures, emergency response protocols, first aid, and AED usage.
- Work closely with resort leadership, department heads, and local authorities to maintain a secure operating environment and effectively address emerging risks.
- Monitor regional security developments and threat levels, ensuring preventive measures are in place to safeguard the resort and its stakeholders.
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, staffing, and performance while fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Promote a strong safety-first culture throughout the resort, ensuring all team members understand and uphold security and safety standards in their daily operations.
What you bring:
- 4 to 5 years of relevant security experience within a hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong English communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Training and experience in firefighting, crowd control, and first aid; CPR certification is an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of local laws, regulations, and safety compliance requirements.
- Excellent swimming ability and a strong understanding of water safety protocols.
- Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in emergency situations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and develop a high-performing Security team.
