Job Summary

The Network Engineer will work closely with senior members of the team to maintain the integrity of Vistra's internal network, including customer-facing hosted and cloud environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting network systems for our clients.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

•Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructures.

•Configure and optimize network performance, security, and reliability.

•Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders.

•Conduct network assessments and audits.

•Troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis.

•Document network configurations and best practices.

•Stay current with emerging technologies.

•Provide technical support to clients and internal teams.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or related experience gained through college degree programs and or certifications in related field

•3+ years of experience in network engineering or a related field.

•Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.

•Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc.

•Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

•Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
