The posting

Finding the right place to grow your career isn’t (over) easy, so we’re here to help by sharing a few reasons why the grass is greener at Vital Farms. We think you’ll appreciate our focus on Conscious Capitalism, which drives business decisions that benefit all our stakeholders (leading to even better business results). You might be drawn to our innovative approach and refusal to settle for the “way things have always been done.” Or you could find it exciting to grow your skills while working for an industry-leading brand. Whether you’re into our values, our brand, or our egg-cellent puns, we hope you’ll join our Crew and help us change the world 108 square feet at a time!

At Vital Farms, we’re proud of the diverse communities we serve and the stakeholders who help bring our purpose to life. We’re committed to fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment where every crew member feels valued. We see this as one of our greatest strengths - and your role is key to helping us build on it.

As a Processing Associate at Vital Farms, you will...

You will work within our state-of-the-art manufacturing and production facility to wash, sort, and pack pasture-raised eggs from our family farms. This role at Egg Central Station (ECS) is critical in moving product safely and efficiently from local family farms to grocery stores. You’ll be on your feet throughout each 12-hour shift, moving, lifting, loading, operating equipment, and working in an air-conditioned, sunlight-filled production and warehouse environment.

2-2-3 schedule: 2-week cycle

  • Week 1: 2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days on
  • Week 2: 2 days off / 2 days on / 3 days off

Shifts: 12-hour shifts

  • Day Crew – 6am to 6pm
  • Night Crew - 6pm to 6am

Pay Rate:

  • Day Crew- $20.25 per hour
  • Night Crew - $20.25 per hour (+ $3.00 Shift Differential)

What You'll Do:

  • Operate machines and robots to load, sort, and pack our pasture-raised eggs.
  • Keep sanitary conditions for optimal food production.
  • Ensure our eggs meet the standards by carefully following our procedures and performing quality checks.
  • Inspect supplies and equipment to confirm they are ready for use.
  • Operate powered jacks to move supplies and product within the warehouse.
  • Perform other duties as needed. Things come up, but you’re flexible and always find a way to make things work.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English for safety and food quality reasons.
  • 1 year of work experience in an industrial or similarly structured, physically active operations environment. Relevant backgrounds may include manufacturing, production, food processing, warehousing or distribution, agriculture, automotive, construction, skilled trades, military operations, or comparable work.
  • Demonstrated experience following safety procedures, meeting quality standards, working as part of a team, and performing repetitive physical tasks in equipment-driven or operational settings
  • You’re able to frequently lift and/or move up to 60lbs.
  • You’re committed to following all personal safety requirements rigorously.
  • Be flexible and complete other duties and production tasks as required.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and division.
  • Follow all Vital Farms policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • You’re no hero – You know the power of teamwork and celebrate the work of others before your own.
  • You give a sh*t – You believe in acting like an owner and making Vital Farms a place to be proud of.
  • You raise the standards – You know growth can be hard, but you strive to improve yourself and others each day.
  • You can walk in someone else’s boots – You seek to understand other’s viewpoints and think that you get to better answers by sitting on the same side of the table.
  • You don’t walk on eggshells – You’re not afraid to leave the bullsh*t behind and have honest conversations.
  • We recognize that talent comes in many forms. Even if you don’t meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply. You may have strengths we haven’t yet considered!

What We Bring to the Table:

  • A fast-paced, energetic work environment with passionate people who are leading a movement to bring ethically produced food to the table.
  • Competitive pay and benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and Paid Parental Leave, just to name a few).
  • Generous retirement contributions: 401(k) + 3% Contribution from Day 1.
  • Free eggs (yes, really!), along with friends and family discounts.
  • Fun team SWAG that will make you the talk of the town.
  • Professional development opportunities and an amazing team dedicated to your growth.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
