Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define functional and technical requirements for new applications, enhancements, fixes, and upgrades, with a focus on IT Asset Management (ITAM), VITAS artificial intelligence (AI) tools, and related integrations.
  • Perform gap analysis by evaluating current business processes and system workflows, defining desired future states, and identifying opportunities for process improvement and AI-enabled automation.
  • Partner with ITAM, Field Support, Service Desk, and Human Resources to define asset lifecycle requirements, including receiving, inventory, assignment, reassignment, employee separation, recovery, and retirement.
  • Establish workflow and documentation requirements that support chain of custody, linking equipment transfers to the appropriate request or ticket and capturing ownership, location, condition, and asset status.
  • Analyze asset data across ServiceNow, device management platforms, and physical inventories to identify discrepancies and define reconciliation processes that improve record accuracy.
  • Develop comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs) that translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for implementation by technical teams.
  • Facilitate design sessions with business stakeholders and technical teams to evaluate proposed solutions, system dependencies, and integration needs.
  • Document detailed system functionality and acceptance criteria using appropriate techniques, including use cases and user stories.
  • Define task ownership, routing, notifications, and completion criteria for asset workflows to ensure returned equipment is accounted for and appropriately returned to stock, reassigned, or retired.
  • Manage requirements uncertainty and ambiguity in a rapidly changing business environment.
  • Apply Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, approaches, and tools throughout requirements development and solution implementation.
  • Develop process maps and models that illustrate business workflows, system interactions, and information flows.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, trade-off analyses, cost analyses, and business cases for IT projects.
  • Support user acceptance testing and analyze system operations during and after implementation, recommending improvements based on test results, user feedback, and business outcomes.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of VITAS applications and learn new technologies and systems that support ITAM processes and interface with VITAS AI tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three to five years of related experience in business systems analysis, requirements development, or a comparable role.
  • Experience analyzing or supporting IT asset management processes, including inventory control, asset assignment, chain of custody, equipment recovery, and lifecycle tracking.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow asset management capabilities or comparable enterprise asset management platforms.
  • Ability to evaluate asset data, identify incomplete or inconsistent records, and translate findings into process and system requirements.
  • Experience participating in medium to large projects as a Business Analyst, Task Lead, or Subject Matter Expert.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, comprehensive requirements documentation for business and technical audiences.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar applications, understand system integrations, and assess their impact on business processes.
  • Familiarity with device management platforms, such as Jamf, and their relationship to enterprise asset records preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools, workflow automation, or enterprise system integrations preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively, verbally and in writing, with department heads, managers, coworkers, and vendors to resolve problems and negotiate solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, and tools used for process mapping and requirements documentation.

EDUCATION AND PREFERRED CREDENTIALS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, general sciences, healthcare, business administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or the international equivalent, preferred.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
