Wat draag je bij?

Als sociaal juridisch begeleider ben jij een belangrijke steunpilaar voor vluchtelingen in het AZC Emmen. Je geeft voorlichting, biedt juridische ondersteuning en begeleidt mensen die zich in een onzekere en soms verwarrende situatie bevinden.

Met jouw rust, aandacht en betrokkenheid breng je duidelijkheid in een spannende periode van hun leven. Je helpt mee aan een eerlijke asielprocedure en daarmee maak je écht het verschil voor mensen die alles achter hebben moeten laten.

Ben je 1 dag per week beschikbaar op dinsdag, woensdag of donderdag? En lijkt het je mooi om asielzoekers te begeleiden in hun procedure? Dan hebben wij een warme, waardevolle vrijwilligersplek voor jou! We starten de dag om 09.00 uur en ronden rond 15.00/15.30 uur samen af.

Je krijgt een goed inwerktraject, begeleiding van een ervaren medewerker op locatie én toegang tot een ruim aanbod aan cursussen. Juridische ervaring is dus absoluut niet nodig. Jouw betrokkenheid, leergierigheid en open houding zijn het belangrijkst.

Wat ga je doen?

Je werkt samen met ervaren professionals en krijgt de ruimte om zelf te kiezen aan welke taken je wilt bijdragen, zoals

  • Je houdt, samen met je collega’s, spreekuur/intakes waarin je de vragen van cliënten beantwoord;
  • Je begeleidt cliënten individueel in hun asielprocedure en monitort de voortgang;
  • Je analyseert het vluchtverhaal van de cliënt (op basis van individuele gesprekken en dossieranalyse) en helpt hiermee de cliënt zich voor te bereiden op de asielprocedure;
  • Je beantwoordt vragen van cliënten aan de balie;
  • Je verzamelt en verwerkt de gegevens in het Vluchtelingenvolgsysteem .

Wat vragen wij van jou?

  • Je bent minimaal 6 uur per week beschikbaar tijdens kantooruren op dinsdag, woensdag of donderdag en je vindt het mooi om die tijd écht betekenisvol te besteden.
  • Je gaat met een open, betrokken en respectvolle houding om met vluchtelingen èn collega’s.
  • Je bent sociaal en vriendelijk, maar ook praktisch en nuchter wanneer dat nodig is.
  • Je kunt goed overweg met de computer en staat open voor nieuwe dingen.
  • Je bent bereid om trainingen te volgen en werkt graag volgens de richtlijnen van VluchtelingenWerk.
  • Je beheerst de Nederlandse taal goed (bij voorkeur op B1‑niveau of hoger).
  • Je communiceert creatief en geduldig: non-verbaal, met vertaalapps, door te tekenen of door eenvoudig en rustig te spreken. Onze cliënten zijn bezig met het leren van Nederlands en spreken soms (een beetje) Engels.
