Do you have a passion for derivatives and a track record of developing client relationships? The Structured Solutions Financial Institutions team at Vontobel offers an established platform for an ambitious and entrepreneurial sales professional to further develop their career.

Recognized as a leading issuer of multi-asset structured products, Vontobel is expanding its presence in Asia. Its Structured Solutions Financial Institutions team delivers innovative solutions to intermediaries such as banks, brokers, external asset managers and family offices. To support our business growth, we are looking for a Structured Solutions Sales professional for our Hong Kong office.

This role is suited to a professional with relevant experience in structured products sales or a closely related client-facing role, ready to take ownership of client relationships and contribute directly to the growth of our Asian business.

What would your role be?

  • Find, on-board and monetize new clients.
  • Service its existing network of large Bank and Broker clients.
  • Grow the Large Bank client footprint via established senior relationships
  • Service clients on the whole product lifecycle and maximize activity with pro-active advisory and investment led initiatives.
  • Increase share of wallet with innovative structured solutions and products.
  • Ownership of transversal tasks of various taskforces - product development, platform project management and new markets.

What are we looking for?

  • A degree in finance, management, economics, mathematics or a scientific discipline.
  • Typically 3–5 years of relevant experience in structured products sales, derivatives or a closely related client-facing role, ideally covering banks, brokers or external asset managers.
  • A track record of developing client relationships and contributing to revenue growth, with the ability to manage client coverage independently.
  • A sound understanding of derivatives and structured products, including their investment applications, payoff structures and principal risks.
  • Strong interest in financial markets and the ability to translate market developments into relevant investment ideas and client opportunities.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex products clearly and build credibility with clients.
  • Analytical and structured thinking, commercial judgement and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with sales, trading, structuring, operations and control functions.
  • A proactive attitude, taking ownership of issues and coordinating stakeholders to deliver practical solutions.
  • Agility and resilience in a changing environment, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Motivation to make a measurable contribution to the growth of our Asian business.
  • Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
  • Affinity for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and a willingness to embrace AI-enabled tools and ways of working.
