Job Summary

The General Manager – Mojave is a site-level operating leader responsible for the day-to-day performance of Voyager Technologies’ Mojave, California site, where propulsion and test facility operations operate, and which serves as a base for flight testing of guidance, navigation, and control technologies, including rocket systems.

Reporting to the Vice President & General Manager, Strategic Systems, this leader owns site execution – safety, schedule, cost, and quality – across engineering, test, propulsion/manufacturing operations, and support managerial functions based at Mojave, while partnering with program, business development, and functional leadership at the business-unit level.

This is a hands-on role for a leader who thrives close to the hardware and the test range, and who can build disciplined processes and a strong site culture as Mojave’s role within Voyager’s portfolio grows.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day site operations at Mojave, including propulsion test operations, flight test operations, manufacturing/production support, facilities, and site safety, ensuring alignment to cost, schedule, and quality commitments.
  • Lead planning and execution of test campaigns, including flight test operations and GN&C technology testing, in close coordination with program management and engineering leadership.
  • Where necessary, manage the site’s operating budget, driving disciplined cost control, capacity planning, ERP utilization, labor tracking, and performance dashboards.
  • Partner with the VPGM, Strategic Systems, and other relevant functional leaders to align site execution with program and business objectives.
  • Support the build toward higher-rate operations at the site, establishing scalable schedules and processes.
  • Serve as Voyager’s on-site representative to customers, government stakeholders, the Mojave Air and Space Port, and the local community.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing, safety-first site team across engineering, test, operations, and support functions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in site processes, tooling, and reporting to support Voyager’s growth and the integration of new programs at Mojave.

If your experience aligns with our basic qualifications and you are inspired by our mission, we’d like to connect. If you don’t see the right role right now, Join Our Talent Community and stay connected as we continue to build what’s next.

Required Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance (requires US citizenship).
  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in Aerospace, Space, Defense, or advanced manufacturing/test operations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a manufacturing, propulsion test, or flight test facility, including responsibility for safety, schedule, cost, and quality outcomes.
  • Experience with rocket propulsion testing, flight test operations, or range safety strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams (engineering, test/operations, manufacturing, quality, safety) in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems, labor tracking, KPIs, and operational performance measurement.
  • Hands-on, visible leadership style, credible with engineers, technicians, and site personnel.
  • Based on-site in Mojave, CA with limited travel as needed.

The good faith base salary range for this role is $245,000.00 - $270,000.00 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
