Pay range $18 - $24 per hour depending on experience.

Job Summary

As a Plumbing Apprentice, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems while learning from skilled professionals. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to grow in a rewarding trade.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service while communicating professionally and effectively.
  • Produce neat, organized, and high-quality work that meets company standards.
  • Support the plumbing team by assisting with installations, diagnostics, and repairs.
  • Learn and adhere to safety protocols, ensuring a secure work environment.
  • Develop technical skills through hands-on experience and ongoing training.
  • Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials on the job site.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, taking direction and contributing to project success.
  • Represent the company with a clean, professional appearance and positive attitude.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with insurability through Vredevoogd’s insurance carrier.
  • Ability to pass initial and random drug screenings, as well as a comprehensive national background check.
  • Strong dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lift over 75 lbs, climb in and out of vehicles, and work in a variety of conditions, including Michigan’s changing weather.
  • A proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn, grow, and take on new challenges.
  • Attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must live within 45 minutes of Kalamzoo.
