As Senior Accountant you will sit on our corporate accounting function as an early technical hire on an expanding finance and accounting team. This role covers meaningful scope across foreign currency accounting, inventory and cost accounting, fixed assets, and supporting the overall accounting and finance team function as we continue to scale our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Support accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, and three-way match.
- Maintain the inventory rollforward to the general ledger and review purchases, consumption, scrap and ending balances to tie MES and subledger to GL.
- Analyze inventory variances, including purchase price, usage, and manufacturing variance, and recommend corrective action or reserve adjustments as needed.
- Maintain the fixed asset subledger, including asset setup, useful lives, depreciation and disposals.
- Maintain construction in progress by capital project, including capitalization and placed-in-service determinations.
- Prepare fixed asset and construction-in-progress roll-forwards and reconcile to the general ledger.
- Support foreign currency accounting in accordance with ASC 830, including functional currency assessments, translation and remeasurement, CTA rollforward, and analysis of FX gain and loss activity.
- Support multi-entity consolidation, including intercompany eliminations and consolidating entries
- Support external audits, tax filings, and other compliance-related requests.
- Support the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting/finance experience; public accounting a plus
- Experience with inventory and fixed asset accounting, with experience in manufacturing or other capital-intensive businesses a plus
- Strong foundation in U.S. GAAP with a preference in ASC 330 Inventory, ASC 360 Fixed Assets/CIP, ASC 830 Foreign Currency Matters
- Experience working with accounting systems; including NetSuite, Ramp or similar systems and reporting/consolidation platforms such as Workiva
- Advanced Excel skills; comfort working with large data sets and reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet compliance related reporting deadlines.
Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
