Wat ga je doen?

IG staat voor individuele gezondheidszorg. Als verzorgende IG geef je zorg aan mensen die het nodig hebben. In de opleiding heb je geleerd over anatomie, fysiologie, verpleegtechnisch handelen en omgangskunde. Maar ook over voeding, diëten en ziekteleer.

Naast de persoonlijke verzorging, geef je medicijnen en doe je verpleegtechnische handelingen waar je diploma's voor hebt. Maar er is meer dan de praktische zorg. Je motiveert mensen ook om zelf te doen wat zij nog zelf kunnen. Dat is voor elke cliënt anders, daarom moet je ook goed kunnen kijken, luisteren en je inleven.

Empathie en aandacht

Mensen kunnen zich elke dag anders gedragen. Jij observeert, signaleert en rapporteert veranderingen in gedrag. Door goed te kijken en te luisteren, kan je de zorg aanpassen als dat nodig is.

Je ziet het ook als iemand het moeilijk heeft. Je neemt dan de tijd om even rustig bij hem of haar te gaan zitten. Met jouw oprechte aandacht maak je écht het verschil voor je cliënten.

Samenwerken

Je werkt in 3 diensten: dag-, avond- en nachtdienst. Je werkt op basis van de afspraken in het zorgplan. Daarom werk je samen met de betrokken EVV-er (Eerst Verantwoordelijke Verzorgende) en verpleegkundige.

Verder begeleid je leerlingen en stagiaires. Samen met je collega’s zorg je aan het eind van je dienst voor een korte en heldere overdracht in het cliëntdossier.

Over de nachtdienst

Nachtdiensten beginnen rond 23.00 uur. Je begint met de overdracht met je collega’s van de avonddienst. Daarna ga je aan het werk en help je bijvoorbeeld mensen bij het naar bed gaan.

In de nachtdienst moet je soms ook reageren als iemand om hulp vraagt via het alarm. Tijdens je dienst kan je overleggen met de collega verzorgende of verpleegkundige die ook dienst heeft.

Na elke dienst zet je alles wat belangrijk is in het zorgdossier. Om ongeveer 7.00 uur is de nachtdienst afgelopen.

In de wijk begint de nachtdienst ook rond 23.00 uur. Naast je vaste taken ben je dan beschikbaar voor oproepen.

Net als iedereen bij Waardeburgh heb je hart voor de ouderenzorg en oog voor wat mensen nodig hebben.

  • Je hebt een diploma verzorgende op mbo-niveau 3.
  • Je bent zelfstandig, enthousiast en flexibel.
  • Je motiveert cliënten om wat zij zelf kunnen, zelf te doen
  • Je herkent je in de identiteitsbepaling van de betreffende locatie waar je voor wilt solliciteren, te vinden op de locatiepagina.
