The posting

The Company Information Leadership is a specialist consultancy working with organisations facing complex information challenges, the kind that don't have obvious answers and can't be solved by technology alone. They help customers improve how they manage, protect, structure, find and use information, through practical solutions spanning Information Management, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, governance and information protection. This is a business that stays close to the work: their consultants remain hands-on through delivery, not just advisory from a distance.

The Role They're seeking a Senior Consultant to strengthen delivery capability within their growing consulting team. This is a customer-facing, hands-on role where you'll lead workstreams, build trust with stakeholders, and stay involved from discovery through to implementation. It's also a genuine succession opportunity, the right person will have a clear pathway toward Principal Consultant within approximately 12 to 18 months.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading workstreams and facilitating customer workshops, bringing structure to ambiguous and complex information challenges
  • Working hands-on in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, including information structures, metadata, content types, Purview and collaboration spaces, to shape practical, usable solutions
  • Building and maintaining trusted relationships with senior leaders, project sponsors, and technical and operational stakeholders
  • Contributing to requirements gathering, solution design, and configuration, staying engaged through to delivery and adoption
  • Providing quality assurance and support to junior consultants, while developing your own capability toward a future people-leadership role
  • Learning and applying Information Leadership's proprietary frameworks, methodologies and tools, and contributing your own insights back into the team's collective know-how

Skills and Experience We're Looking For

  • Strong working experience with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, with enough platform confidence to work hands-on in configuration and delivery
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to the delivery of projects or workstreams involving business users, systems and change, from either a consulting or in-house environment
  • Confident stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to facilitate workshops, ask good questions, and help customers make decisions in the face of competing views
  • Strong professional judgement and ownership, with the ability to operate through ambiguity without close supervision
  • A genuine learning mindset, comfortable adapting to new tools, frameworks and ways of working rather than relying solely on prior methods
  • Consulting experience is helpful but not essential; candidates from information governance, digital workplace, infrastructure delivery or transformation backgrounds are equally encouraged to apply
