The Director, Business Strategy leads the development and execution of organizational vision through comprehensive market analysis and strategic planning. About the team...
The Global Governance Strategy team aligns strategy, priorities, and execution across Walmart’s Global Governance organization. Collaborating with Legal, Ethics, Compliance, Security, and other governance functions, the team translates enterprise priorities into clear strategies, operating plans, and measurable outcomes. Serving as strategic advisors and integrators, they connect cross-functional work, identify opportunities to reduce complexity, and support leaders in decision implementation. The team shapes operating rhythms, governance, and strategic initiatives to anticipate future needs, strengthen business partnerships, and ensure Walmart delivers results effectively and responsibly.
What you'll do...
- Develop and communicate the organizational vision and strategic execution plans based on industry and market analysis.
- Define metrics to track performance and report progress to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Lead change initiatives by managing project plans, assessing readiness, and ensuring timely adoption across the organization.
- Oversee process improvements by evaluating multiple projects and leveraging insights to enhance business results.
- Direct cross-functional initiatives impacting store and corporate processes.
- Analyze business objectives and forecasts to support resource planning and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Drive talent development, succession planning, and workforce engagement to build a skilled and motivated team.

- Proven expertise in developing and executing comprehensive business strategies aligned with organizational vision and market analysis.
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing change initiatives to drive adoption and performance.
- Ability to analyze financial statements, key performance indicators, and operational processes to identify improvement opportunities.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
