Role summary:
The (USA) Director, Finance, Last Mile, leads FP&A, Reporting and Analytics by collaborating with cross-functional teams to align corporate goals with actionable financial strategies. This role involves analyzing business performance, identifying risks, and providing insights to support decision-making at senior management levels. The Director oversees complex financial controls, develops advanced financial models, and ensures accurate reporting and forecasting. By driving strategic initiatives and fostering strong partnerships, this position supports sustainable business growth and operational excellence while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and compliance across financial functions. About the team: The Last Mile Delivery team ensures timely order fulfillment through drivers on the Spark Driver platform and a network of third-party delivery providers. The business is expanding rapidly with new delivery options, additional depots serving urban areas, and a quick service restaurant delivery offering. The Finance team partners across the organization to plan and forecast the P&L, measure performance, and guide investment decisions. This role supports coordination across business review cycles to deliver cohesive financial insights that drive strategic growth and operational excellence in Last Mile Delivery. What you'll do:
- Lead long-term financial planning by collaborating with departments to align financial targets with corporate goals and assess associated risks.
- Partner with senior management to analyze business performance, identify gaps, and provide insights on budget processes and retail trends.
- Drive business strategy by analyzing costs, forecasts, and operational processes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support talent development and succession planning to maintain a skilled workforce aligned with business needs.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making and business performance evaluation.
- Ability to translate data into meaningful performance reporting to support traditional P&L reporting.
- Proven ability to develop and manage complex financial models incorporating assumptions, risks, and business insights.
- Strong expertise in financial management, including budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting accuracy.
- Demonstrated skill in collaborating cross-functionally to align financial targets with corporate goals and mitigate risks.
- Proficiency in interpreting financial statements and providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
