Role summary: The (USA) Director, Technology Operations leads the strategic planning and execution of large-scale technology programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational excellence. About the team: Our team is pioneering AI-driven personalization at Walmart, enhancing shopping experiences through intelligent, relevant, and connected solutions. We focus on the entire customer journey—from discovery and recommendations to conversational commerce and basket building—leveraging AI, customer insights, and experimentation to deliver timely, tailored experiences. Operating at the intersection of technology, product, data science, and business, we combine Walmart’s extensive scale and omnichannel data with advanced AI capabilities to transform how customers engage with our services, driving innovation and operational excellence across the organization. What you'll do:
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of large-scale technology programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial targets.
- Manage program budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to optimize cost efficiency and ROI.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define program scope, performance baselines, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Influence cross-functional teams through clear communication and consensus-building to drive successful technology delivery.
- Provide insights on technology trends and operational improvements to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Develop and implement processes that improve program throughput, quality, and alignment with strategic goals.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience in program and financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
- Proven ability to define and execute large-scale technology programs aligned with business strategy.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills to build consensus and drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Expertise in monitoring program performance, risk assessment, and mitigation planning.
- Solid understanding of technology landscapes, trends, and their application to business objectives.
- Demonstrated capability in business operations, including KPI assessment and process improvement.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex information clearly and foster productive relationships.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
