Role summary:
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will drive data governance initiatives by partnering with business and technical stakeholders to establish enterprise data standards, govern critical data assets, improve data quality, and ensure consistent, trusted use of data across the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of data quality, governance, and visualization techniques to support strategic decision-making across multiple business domains. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Your contributions will enhance data integrity, optimize processes, and drive measurable improvements, supporting Walmart’s commitment to operational excellence and informed business strategies. What you'll do:
- Establish and govern business terms, data definitions, metadata, and standards to ensure consistent and trusted use of enterprise data.
- Partner with data owners, stewards, and stakeholders to drive governance adoption and compliance with enterprise policies.
- Facilitate data quality issue identification, remediation, and root cause resolution for critical data assets.
- Support data classification, certification, lineage, ownership, and access governance processes.
- Lead governance reviews and evaluate changes for alignment with established standards.
- Develop governance communications and training while promoting data literacy, stewardship accountability, and trusted data foundations that enable analytics, compliance, and AI-driven insights.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience in data management, data quality, and data governance practices.
- Proficiency with data profiling, cleansing, and stewardship techniques to ensure data accuracy.
- Strong knowledge of database technologies including SQL and NoSQL systems.
- Ability to identify and source data fit for business needs and perform initial quality assessments.
- Expertise in data visualization tools and techniques to communicate complex insights effectively.
- Skilled in applying data strategy principles to support business objectives and decision-making.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
- Familiarity with project management and facilitation to drive data initiatives and stakeholder engagement.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
