Role summary: The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Power Washing-DOT, is responsible for operating and maintaining pressure washing equipment to clean various facility surfaces while adhering to safety protocols. This role includes performing preventative maintenance on machinery, managing equipment inventory, and operating corporate vehicles safely and compliantly. The technician collaborates with facility stakeholders to address service requests, supports seasonal exterior maintenance, and ensures all tasks meet quality and safety standards. This position requires adaptability to changing priorities and a commitment to upholding company policies and operational excellence. About the team: The Facility Services Power Washing team is dedicated to maintaining Walmart locations’ exterior appearance through power washing, landscaping, mowing, trimming, tree care, and irrigation. This team operates specialized equipment while adhering to safety protocols to ensure clean, safe, and well-maintained grounds. Members efficiently complete work orders, perform routine and seasonal maintenance, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to address service needs. They collaborate to support continuous improvements that uphold Walmart’s standards for quality and operational excellence, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment across all facilities. What you'll do:

  • Operate and maintain pressure washing equipment to clean various facility surfaces, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Evaluate cleaning areas to determine appropriate pressure, temperature, and methods for effective results.
  • Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on power washing machinery and corporate vehicles.
  • Respond to work orders, document tasks, and communicate updates with facility users and management.
  • Collaborate with teams to support operational needs and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Conduct seasonal exterior maintenance, including snow and ice management, to uphold facility safety.
  • Manage equipment inventory, perform repairs, and ensure proper storage of tools and vehicles.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience operating and maintaining pressure washing equipment and related machinery safely and effectively.
  • Ability to evaluate cleaning areas and determine appropriate pressure, temperature, and operational methods.
  • Skilled in performing preventative maintenance and safety checks on power washing and facility equipment.
  • Competence in operating corporate vehicles, including conducting inspections and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with facility users, managers, and team members.
  • Ability to follow established safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Experience managing equipment inventory and performing minor repairs or part replacements.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and support facility maintenance needs.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.

Ability to work alternative shifts, including overnight or weekends. Must be 21 years of age or older. Ability to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification during pre-hire contingency and ability to maintain a minimum of a 90 day Medical Examiner's Certification (MEC) card. No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years. Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report. No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle. No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle. No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle. As required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language.
