As an HGV Technician / Fleet Mechanic, you will play an important role in maintaining the safety, reliability and operational availability of the council's diverse vehicle fleet.

Working as part of the fleet maintenance team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults.
  • Undertaking preventative maintenance to ensure vehicles remain safe, reliable and roadworthy.
  • Completing repairs efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.
  • Maintaining accurate vehicle maintenance records and associated documentation.
  • Ensuring all work complies with relevant health and safety requirements and applicable vehicle standards.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain the operational effectiveness of the council's fleet.

We are looking for a skilled and reliable technician who takes pride in their work and is committed to maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and workmanship.

Applicants should ideally possess:

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
