The Financial Services Operations Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery, implementation, and ongoing performance of financial products in a dynamic, technology-driven environment. This position combines operational ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and process improvement to support product launches and enhancements from planning through execution. Accountabilities

  • Own Product Operations: Serve as the primary operational owner for an assigned financial product line, overseeing day-to-day execution, ongoing support, and operational change delivery.
  • Coordinate Product Implementation: Partner with product leaders, operations stakeholders, and technology teams to implement new products, enhancements, and process changes.
  • Develop Execution Plans: Translate product requirements into operational plans covering workflows, readiness checklists, dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines.
  • Support Launches and Changes: Coordinate end-to-end product launches and operational updates, ensuring readiness across systems, processes, documentation, controls, and downstream activities.
  • Lead Testing and Validation: Plan and execute functional tests, end-to-end scenarios, and quality checks to validate product functionality and operational readiness.
  • Maintain Procedures and Documentation: Create, update, and maintain product-specific operating procedures to support consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Improve Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities to automate workflows, enhance operational tools, and simplify processes in collaboration with management and cross-functional teams.
  • Strengthen Controls and Monitoring: Establish and maintain operational monitoring and audit routines, including reconciliations, exception tracking, control checks, and issue remediation.
  • Resolve Issues and Manage Escalations: Act as a subject matter expert for assigned products, supporting troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and the resolution of operational challenges.
  • Communicate Performance and Risks: Provide clear, actionable updates to leadership on implementation readiness, risks, defects, operational outcomes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent education and professional experience.
  • Relevant Experience: At least 3 years of experience in banking, financial services, lending, fintech, or a related operations environment.
  • Financial Services Expertise: Strong understanding of financial services operations, preferably within regulated environments.
  • Product Operations Knowledge: Familiarity with product lifecycles, including implementation, change management, testing, launch readiness, and ongoing operational support.
  • Project and Change Execution: Demonstrated ability to manage complex operational changes, coordinate dependencies, and collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Experience with operational testing, quality assurance, audit support, internal controls, or validation processes.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to identify issues, investigate root causes, and implement practical solutions.
  • Process Documentation: Ability to document workflows clearly and understand end-to-end processes across systems, teams, and business functions.
  • Adaptability and Prioritization: Comfort navigating ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and taking ownership in a changing environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise, executive-ready updates.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Ability to use operational data and performance insights to identify issues and recommend improvements.
  • Preferred Financial Product Experience: Direct experience with banking-as-a-service, fintech, consumer lending, payment products, or prepaid cards.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance considerations relevant to financial products.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience partnering with product or technology teams to implement changes, launches, pilots, or major enhancements.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL or Power BI (PBI) is an advantage.
  • Process Automation: Exposure to automation tools, workflow solutions, or operational platforms is beneficial.
  • Competitive Salary: Annual compensation ranging from CAD $64,800 to CAD $97,200, as advertised.
  • Remote Work: A remote position based in Canada.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
