Brand Licensing Agent

Build and lead Wavelength’s licensing business in your market

Location: Worldwide - priority markets across North America, Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Latin America Working model: Brand Licensing agent Company: Wavelength Network and our network of talent Compensation: Partnership based on standard Licensing gross revenue share

About Wavelength

At Wavelength we are building a global social media, marketing and creator agency built around the power of talent, content and communities. Founded by the team behind the Extreme Sports Channel, we bring 30+ years of media and entertainment experience together with a global network of leading creators (Super Car Blondie), athletes and social publishing pages. Our network has 300 million+ followers and reaches 950 million+ views every month across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat and Facebook.

We create high impact marketing campaigns that connect brands with engaged audiences through creator partnerships, social storytelling, content production and live experiences across adventure, action sports, travel, automotive, fitness, wellness, beauty, technology, sustainability and entertainment.

The Opportunity

We are putting together a network of territory focused licensing agents around the world and looking for highly connected, commercially driven, deeply experienced brand licensing specialists who understand their local market and have the relationships, credibility and entrepreneurial drive to build a licensing business with us around some of the world's leading social media talent and social brands.

As a Country Licensing Agent, you will effectively become our partner and licensing representative in your territory. You will identify where our talent, brands, content and intellectual property can create commercial value and then find, pitch and develop the partners capable of bringing those opportunities to market.

Here is what you will be doing

Market Strategy & Planning

  • Develop a country specific licensing plan and strategy for Wavelength talent and IP
  • Creator and brand
  • Identify the most commercially attractive industry sectors and licensing categories
  • Map the local licensing ecosystem, including manufacturers, retailers, distributors, brands and potential licensees
  • Identify market gaps and opportunities for Wavelength talent and IP
  • Build an annual licensing pipeline and commercial plan
  • Recommend which Wavelength talent, properties and IP should be prioritised in your market

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and qualify potential licensing partners
  • Build relationships with brands, Creators and licensees
  • Conduct targeted outreach and business development.
  • Generate new licensing opportunities
  • Present Wavelength's talent, properties and licensing opportunities to prospective partners
  • Lead commercial discussions and negotiations alongside Wavelength
  • Develop opportunities from initial conversation through to signed agreement
  • Continuously build and manage a strong licensing pipeline

We want agents who can answer a simple question:

Who should be licensing our talent and IP in your market and how do we get them to the table?

You will be expected to proactively identify opportunities across areas such as:

  • Consumer products
  • Apparel and fashion
  • Sports equipment
  • Automotive products and accessories
  • Travel products
  • Fitness and wellness
  • Beauty
  • Technology
  • Gaming
  • Publishing
  • Experiential
  • Collectibles
  • Digital products
  • Destination and tourism partnerships
  • Brand collaborations
  • Co-branded products and experiences

The opportunity is deliberately broad because our network of talent and intellectual property spans multiple categories.

Managing the Licensing Programme

Once opportunities are developed, you will work closely with the Wavelength team to manage the programme in your territory.

This includes:

  • Maintaining relationships with licensees and commercial partners
  • Coordinating with Wavelength on negotiations and agreements
  • Supporting partner onboarding
  • Managing the local licensing pipeline
  • Monitoring opportunities and deal progress
  • Supporting product and campaign development where required
  • Identifying additional commercial opportunities within existing partnerships
  • Reporting market intelligence and pipeline development to Wavelength
  • Helping grow successful partnerships over the long term

You will own the market relationship, while Wavelength provides the wider network, talent relationships, commercial infrastructure and central support.

What Wavelength Brings

We will provide access to a growing international network of creators, athletes, publishers and talent, giving you a portfolio of properties and personalities that can be taken to market.

We provide:

  • Access to Wavelength's global talent network
  • Creator and athlete relationships
  • Licensing opportunities and intellectual property
  • Central commercial and management support
  • International market knowledge
  • Pitch materials and commercial assets
  • Support with negotiations and deal structures
  • Global relationships with brands and agencies
  • Cross market opportunities
  • The ability to build international licensing programmes around successful properties

As The Country Licensing Agent, you will bring the local knowledge, relationships, commercial instinct and execution.

Who We Are Looking For

This opportunity is suited to someone who already has a strong network and understands how business is conducted in their respective market.

Desired professional background and industry experience

  • Licensing
  • Sports marketing
  • Brand partnerships
  • Media
  • Entertainment
  • Consumer products
  • Advertising
  • Sponsorship
  • Athlete or creator representation
  • IP development
  • Agency business development
  • Fashion
  • Gaming
  • Publishing

We are particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate:

  • A strong network of senior commercial contacts
  • Excellent business development and sales skills
  • Knowledge of their local market
  • Experience negotiating commercial partnerships
  • An entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities rather than simply respond to them
  • Persistence and the ability to develop relationships over time
  • Genuine interest in creators, talent, media, brands and intellectual property

Applying

We are looking for entrepreneurs and agents and not employees. You should already know your market. You should already know who the major players are. If you can open doors, develop relationships and turn opportunities into revenue, we want to hear from you. Apply through the portal or send your resume and cover letter to Thando ([email protected]) with the following:

  • A summary of your relevant experience in licensing, IP commercialization, or media partnerships, including a link to your LinkedIn profile.
  • Overview of your active industry network, key local market relationships,
  • Examples of high-impact partnerships, licensing agreements, or commercial deals you have personally developed and closed.
  • The specific licensing categories (e.g., apparel, CPG, tech accessories, LBE) you believe offer the highest revenue opportunity in your market.

Why Wavelength?

The creator economy has created an enormous amount of valuable intellectual property, audiences and cultural influence. Much of that value remains underdeveloped commercially.

Wavelength sits at the intersection of creators, audiences, brands, media and commercial partnerships. We are building a global network that can identify that value and turn it into scalable commercial opportunities. For the right licensing agent, this represents an opportunity to build a significant licensing business in their market without having to build the underlying talent network themselves.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
