At Loka, we’re reimagining South Asian rituals for today.
Our first product — the Loka Chai Maker — launched on Kickstarter in 2024 and generated nearly $1M in pre-orders, shipping thousands of units globally to delighted customers.
This is just the start. We’re building a design-led lifestyle brand rooted in heritage, innovation, and mindful living.
We’re now looking for an ambitious, sharp, and curious Founders’ Associate to join our crew.
This is not a “sit in the corner and take notes” role — you’ll be in the thick of it, supporting two experienced entrepreneurs as we scale and bring Loka to the world.
🧭 The Role
You’ll be the extra brain, hands, and energy that keeps the flywheel turning.
One day you’re helping prep an investor update or drafting a product brief. The next, you’re addressing customer support tickets or coordinating diaries so the week runs smoothly.
You’ll work closely with both founders across product, operations, commercial, marketing, and project management — learning what it really takes to scale a fast-moving, modern consumer brand.
⚙️ What You'll Do
- Work directly with Anish (reporting line) and partner closely with both founders
- Take ownership of projects — scope problems, build simple plans, run point on execution, track progress, and report outcomes
- Jump into the most urgent challenge of the day — no task too big or small
- Build leverage for the founders — ruthlessly prioritize, anticipate needs, and clear blockers before they surface
- Product and research support — customer feedback synthesis, product documentation, assisting with product team workload
- Support commercial and marketing work — especially influencer outreach and management
- Strengthen operations — create and improve lightweight processes, checklists, and dashboards
- Act as an executive assistant to the founders — coordinate meetings, offsites, prep, and follow-ups
🧠 What We’re Looking For
Experience
- 2+ years in a fast-paced environment such as startups, consulting, venture, EA, or generalist experience
- Demonstrated ownership of projects with measurable outcomes
- Excellent written communication and slide/doc hygiene
- Confident with spreadsheets and slides, from analysis to storytelling
- Clear, concise communication
- Strong organization and time management across multiple stakeholders
- High proficiency with modern tools (Notion, Google Suite, spreadsheets, basic analytics)
