About WeBuyVintage

WeBuyVintage is one of the UK’s largest buyers of jewellery, antiques and collectibles. We run more roadshows than any other UK company - over 250 valuation events every month - bringing trusted experts face-to-face with customers across the country.

In lthree years, we’ve grown from a pub-table idea into an eight-figure business, and we’re on a mission to make WeBuyVintage a brand everyone recognises.

The Role:

At WeBuyVintage, we’re passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences and building knowledgeable, confident teams that represent our company to the highest standard out in the field. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for passionate, hands-on Roadshow Assistants who enjoy going above and beyond for customers and strive for consistency & quality across their work.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

As a Roadshow Assistant you’ll work at our roadshows alongside our Buyers. You’ll be the person responsible for the consistent quality and smooth running of our roadshow events, which includes:

· Hospitality – you’ll be the first and last face that our customers see, building rapport with them to make sure that every minute of their time at our Roadshow is an enjoyable one. It’s the small things - making sure people are comfortable, knowing when it’s their turn to be seen, and having all of their questions answered.

· Event quality – our events cannot run and definitely don’t feel the same without you. You’ll ensure that all of our events look and feel the same, no matter where they are – banners, signs, biscuits, music… and everything else that turns an event into an experience.

· On the day venue management – work with our bookings team to (when arriving at a roadshow), meet with local venue teams, pass on health & safety messaging to our buyers, and just generally being our on-site contact for all queries.

· Product triage – alongside our Buyers, help our customer understand what items we do and don’t buy so that we can manage their expectations early on. This will involve inspecting the item and talking through any reasons why we may not be able to take it.

· Customer experience – some of our customers might have lots of valuables, others might have recently lost a family member. Your job is to be understanding, no matter the circumstances and show that individual that they can trust us.

Who We’re Looking For:

You’ll be someone who loves people (it’s as simple as that really), and because of that, want to do as much as you possibly can to make their day!

You’ll be great in this role if you have:

  • Experience being part of the customer facing team dealing with a diverse range of different customers
  • Experience identifying customer problems / questions and can outline examples of how you answered these questions, even if you didn’t know the answer
  • Experience running, or helping to run customer-facing events,
  • Able to build strong relationships with internal colleagues across the business, to communicate event feedback
  • Share best practice and successful ways of working between roadshows and operational locations, as well as working with us to roll-out new processes across our roadshows and be the one making sure they are followed at your events
  • Willingness to travel 1-2 hours daily for this role (all travel will be fully expensed), as per your roadshow rota - please note due to the amount of product you will need to be transporting between locations, you must be able to drive and have full use of a vehicle.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • Previous hospitality, retail, social work or customer service experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to quickly build strong relationships with colleagues and customers
  • The ability to explain processes and information clearly and simply
  • Full UK Driving Licence - our locations are sometimes not accessible by public transport

What You’ll Get:

  • 4-day working week (Days will vary each week but will fall between Monday and Saturday)
  • Access to Bright Exchange - enjoy thousands of exclusive employee discounts and perks
  • Employee Assistance Programme - confidential, 24/7 support for you and your immediate family, covering work, personal, and home life matters
  • On-demand professional development - access to BrightHR’s online learning platform to build new skills and support your career progression
  • Competitive pay
  • Be part of a rapidly growing, friendly UK brand

The salary for this role is £26,000 p.a.

Please note this role is remote and requires daily travel to different locations within 2 hours of your home address

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
