We are looking for a skilled Hardware Engineer to design, develop, test, and validate hardware for AI-powered CCTV cameras, smart surveillance products, and related IoT devices. The role involves managing the complete hardware development lifecycle, from circuit design and PCB layout to prototyping, debugging, validation, and production handover.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in analog and digital electronics, PCB design, component selection, and hardware troubleshooting. You will work closely with firmware, embedded systems, R&D, quality control, and production teams to develop reliable, cost-effective, and manufacturable hardware solutions for intelligent surveillance applications.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

1. Hardware Design and Development

  • Design circuit schematics and PCB layouts for CCTV cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and related IoT surveillance hardware.
  • Select appropriate electronic components, including image sensors, ISPs, SoCs, power management ICs, connectors, IR LEDs, and wireless communication modules, based on performance, cost, and availability.
  • Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), schematics, PCB layout files, and technical design documentation.
  • Ensure hardware designs meet performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability requirements.

2. Prototyping, Testing, and Debugging

  • Assemble and bring up hardware prototypes, identifying and resolving issues related to power systems, signal integrity, and electromagnetic interference.
  • Conduct functional, stress, and reliability testing in collaboration with the Test and Validation team.
  • Use laboratory equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers to diagnose hardware issues.
  • Validate hardware performance and implement design improvements based on test results.

3. Design for Manufacturing and Production Support

  • Collaborate with production and Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and testability (DFM/DFT).
  • Support pilot production runs, New Product Introduction (NPI), and troubleshooting of hardware issues encountered during manufacturing.
  • Prepare Gerber files, assembly drawings, inspection procedures, and test documentation for production handover.
  • Work toward improving manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and production reliability.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with firmware and embedded systems teams to ensure seamless hardware-firmware integration and successful product bring-up.
  • Collaborate with vendors and component suppliers on sourcing, component qualification, and evaluation of alternative components.
  • Support R&D initiatives involving new product development and continuous improvement of existing hardware.
  • Work with quality control and production teams to investigate failures and implement corrective actions.

5. Compliance and Technical Documentation

  • Support product certification activities, including BIS, CE, FCC, and other applicable standards.
  • Ensure hardware designs comply with relevant electrical safety, EMI/EMC, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain design history files, test reports, revision records, and other technical documents to support audits and product traceability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience in hardware or electronics design, preferably in IoT, CCTV, surveillance, or consumer electronics.
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, and signal integrity.
  • Hands-on experience with PCB design tools such as Altium, Eagle, KiCad, OrCAD, or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience working with camera modules, image sensors, embedded microcontrollers such as ARM or ESP32, or similar hardware platforms.
  • Working knowledge of component sourcing, BOM management, and DFM/DFT practices.
  • Practical experience using laboratory and testing equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and logic analyzers.
  • Good understanding of SMT and PCBA assembly processes.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with R&D, firmware, quality control, and production teams.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to prepare clear technical documentation.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
