We are looking for a hands-on Product Engineer with experience in PHP, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript to join our product engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong software development fundamentals, experience building and maintaining production applications, and the ability to translate business requirements into reliable, scalable software solutions.

This role goes beyond writing code. You will work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders to understand business problems, evaluate technical approaches, and deliver effective product features throughout the software development lifecycle.

Candidates with healthcare domain experience, particularly in healthcare IT, Electronic Health Records (EHR), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), medical billing, healthcare claims processing, or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), are preferred. A minimum of six months of healthcare domain experience is mandatory.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirement Analysis: Understand business requirements, clarify product needs, and translate them into technical specifications and practical software solutions.
  • Software Development: Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications using PHP, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.
  • Product Collaboration: Work with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, QA Engineers, and business stakeholders to define requirements and determine implementation approaches.
  • Technical Design: Participate in technical discussions, evaluate alternative solutions, and recommend approaches aligned with business objectives and technical standards.
  • Feature Development: Build and maintain application features, backend services, RESTful APIs, and third-party integrations.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code while following established development practices.
  • Testing and Reviews: Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and application performance optimization.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate application issues, perform root-cause analysis, resolve defects, and implement long-term fixes.
  • Deployment and Maintenance: Support application releases, production incidents, ongoing maintenance, and post-deployment improvements.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Contribute across the complete software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering and solution design to development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Agile Delivery: Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver product enhancements and business-critical features.
  • Healthcare Workflows: Understand healthcare-specific processes and translate domain requirements into reliable and effective software functionality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Hands-on software development experience with PHP, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.
  • Strong programming fundamentals, object-oriented programming concepts, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience developing, enhancing, and maintaining production-grade software applications.
  • Good understanding of RESTful APIs, application integrations, and database concepts.
  • Working knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL or other relational database systems.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into functional software solutions.
  • Experience participating in requirement discussions, technical design, coding, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with product teams, architects, QA engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • At least six months of healthcare domain experience is mandatory.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience developing or maintaining healthcare IT products and platforms.
  • Knowledge of EHR/EMR systems, medical billing, healthcare claims processing, or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).
  • Experience working in a product engineering, SaaS, or technology-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Exposure to frontend frameworks, backend frameworks, API integrations, and cloud-based applications.
  • Understanding of healthcare data flows, clinical workflows, or billing-related business processes.
  • Ability to independently own product features from requirement clarification through implementation and production support.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
