We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst – SAP FICO Integration to bridge business requirements and technical integration solutions across SAP and non-SAP systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP FICO, OData-based API design, data integration, and finance business processes, along with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, developers, and solution architects.

In this role, you will drive requirements analysis, define integration specifications, support end-to-end solution design, and ensure that integration initiatives align with business objectives, enterprise architecture standards, data security requirements, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the gathering, analysis, and documentation of business requirements, with a strong focus on system integrations and data exchange.
  • Understand end-to-end finance processes and align SAP FICO solutions with the Global Finance Core Platform and broader business objectives.
  • Design and document API interfaces, particularly using OData protocols, to enable seamless communication between SAP and external applications.
  • Define project scope, develop functional specifications, and translate business requirements into clear integration requirements.
  • Prepare SDLC-compliant system design documents, ensuring traceability, maintainability, and adherence to architecture standards.
  • Apply knowledge of integration patterns, middleware technologies, reusable components, and SAP/non-SAP integration landscapes.
  • Collaborate with developers, solution architects, and cross-functional teams to design and implement effective integration solutions.
  • Document new and modified integration interfaces, data flows, and system changes.
  • Support application testing, implementation, user training, and post-implementation activities.
  • Conduct quality reviews of deliverables associated with projects and change requests.
  • Provide expert consultancy to Finance teams on SAP FICO capabilities and integration solutions.
  • Ensure data security, compliance, data integrity, and customer-centricity are incorporated into solution designs.
  • Manage day-to-day work prioritization in collaboration with business stakeholders across multiple workstreams.
  • Mentor junior business analysts and contribute to knowledge sharing, capability development, and team effectiveness.
  • Perform business process modelling and re-engineering to identify inefficiencies and optimize process flows.
  • Analyse cross-functional requirements and contribute to end-to-end solution design across interconnected business processes.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to develop business cases, evaluate solution options, and recommend appropriate approaches.
  • Constructively challenge and influence senior stakeholders to establish clarity, resolve issues, and drive informed decisions.

Must-Have Skills

  • SAP FICO: Strong understanding of SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling processes and their implementation in enterprise environments.
  • OData: Hands-on experience designing OData-based APIs and interfaces for SAP and external systems.
  • SAP S/4HANA: Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and its finance capabilities.
  • Business Analysis: Proven experience in requirements gathering, functional specification development, process modelling, and stakeholder management.
  • Integration Design: Practical experience with SAP/non-SAP interfaces, API development, ETL flows, and data integration.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to convert complex business needs into structured functional solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage business and technical stakeholders effectively.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • SAP ECC 6.0: Experience working with SAP ECC 6.0 and its finance modules.
  • SAP S/4HANA: Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA finance architecture, processes, and integration capabilities.
  • SAP Cloud Integration: Exposure to SAP Cloud Integration and cloud-based integration platforms.
  • REST APIs: Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration technologies.
  • Middleware and Orchestration: Familiarity with process integration, orchestration architecture, and reusable integration components.
  • Data Integration: Knowledge of ETL processes, data exchange patterns, and integration between SAP and non-SAP applications.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Approximately 3–6 years of experience in business analysis, with the ability to independently manage requirements and deliverables.
  • Around 4–5 years of hands-on experience with SAP FICO, interface and integration design, and API development.
  • Demonstrated experience in OData-based API design, ETL flows, and data integration.
  • Strong understanding of finance business processes and their technical implementation within SAP.
  • Experience working with SAP integration landscapes, middleware, and cloud-based integration platforms.
  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • BAEP certification or an equivalent business analysis qualification is desirable.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of business analysis, requirements engineering, and modelling techniques.
