The School of Sciences & Humanities at Wentworth Institute of Technology seeks Adjunct Faculty in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
Course Description:
Industrial and Organizational (IO) Psychology is a scientific discipline that studies human behavior in the workplace. IO psychologists help institutions with hiring, managing, developing, and supporting employees while working to align employee efforts with business needs. Intended outcomes of IO psychology include stronger talent development, reduced turnover, increased productivity, and improved employee engagement. The tools and methods used in IO psychology are grounded in scientific inquiry and incorporate statistics, research techniques, and other evidence-based approaches to understanding and improving human behavior at work.
Course Goals:
The goal of this course is to introduce students to the theory, research, and application of Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Students examine the scientific study of work and organizations, including job analysis, employee selection, training and development, performance management, motivation, leadership, organizational culture, and organizational effectiveness. The course emphasizes the application of evidence-based approaches to workplace challenges and organizational success.

Adjunct faculty compensation varies based on instructional mode (lecture or lab), number of course credits, and program. The minimum adjunct rate is $1474 per credit
