Job Description
The Wentworth Institute of Technology division of Workforce Development and Professional Education invites applications for part-time evening instructors to teach for our Journeyman Electrician license program. The position will lead in-person courses, taught two evenings per week, from 5:00-10:00 p.m. over 15-weeks. You will be working with students that are preparing to sit for the Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician License Examination.

About the Program:
Wentworth offers an accelerated, four-semester journeyman electrician program to prepare individuals to become licensed Journeyman Electrician in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Taught by experienced professionals in the field, courses introduce students to a range of theoretical and applied concepts and spend a significant portion of time covering the Massachusetts Electrical Code.
The program comprises four courses, each meeting twice per week and lasting 15 weeks. Students spend 150 hours in the classroom and earn 15 CEUs per course. Courses are offered in-person, on our Boston campus during the fall (Sep-Dec) and spring (Jan-Apr) semesters. These courses are designed to be taken one at a time and in the following sequence:
Our program is approved through the Massachusetts State Board of Examiners of Electricians.
Position Details:
At this time, the university is unable to sponsor applicants for H-1B visas.
Adjunct faculty compensation varies based on instructional mode (lecture or lab), number of course credits, and program. The minimum adjunct rate is $1,365 per credit.
