Voor een solide en innovatieve bancaire instelling in Suriname, met ambitieuze doelstellingen op onder meer het gebied van customer experience, zoeken wij een Internal Auditor die scherp kijkt, vooruitdenkt en graag impact maakt. De opdracht komt van de bank zelf, ter waarborging van een efficiënte en effectieve uitvoering van taken binnen de afdeling Internal Audit.

Als Internal Auditor geeft u indirect zekerheid aan de directie en de Raad van Commissarissen over de kwaliteit van de interne beheersing en informatievoorziening. U werkt nauw samen met de Manager Internal Audit Department en stuurt Internal Audit Officers aan. U staat dus niet aan de zijlijn, maar middenin de organisatie.

U werkt risicogedreven, volgens de Global Internal Audit Standards (IIA), en beweegt soepel tussen operationele, financiële en compliance audits, soms planmatig, soms ad hoc wanneer de situatie daarom vraagt. Juist die afwisseling maakt het werk boeiend.

Wat gaat u concreet doen?

  • Meewerken aan het jaarlijkse risk-based auditjaarplan en de begroting
  • Ontwerpen en actualiseren van risk-based auditprogramma's
  • Uitvoeren en coördineren van operationele, financiële en compliance audits
  • Begeleiden van complexe en gevoelige audits en speciale opdrachten
  • Schrijven en reviewen van auditrapportages
  • Voeren van slotbesprekingen met management en bewaken van opvolging
  • Monitoren van aanbevelingen van de externe accountant en toezichthouders
  • Zorgdragen voor correcte dossiervorming conform IIA-standaarden
  • Coachen, begeleiden en ontwikkelen van auditmedewerkers
  • Actief bijdragen aan organisatiebrede projecten

Wat brengt u mee?

  • Bachelor in Accountancy of Bedrijfseconomie
  • CIA-certificering (Certified Internal Auditor)
  • Minimaal 5 jaar auditervaring, waarvan ten minste 2 jaar binnen een bank
  • Gedegen kennis van bancaire processen en producten, relevante wet- en regelgeving, en IFRS, ERM, Governance & Compliance
  • Sterke beheersing van het Nederlands en Engels in woord en schrift
  • Leiderschap, analytisch vermogen en conceptueel denkvermogen
  • Een proactieve, standvastige houding onder druk, en de moed om door te vragen
