The posting

Wil je meewerken aan een veilige en menselijke gevangenis? Als penitentiair bewakingsassistent begeleid je gedetineerden en bereid je hen voor op een goede terugkeer in de samenleving. Er zijn 10 plaatsen in Hasselt en Leuven.

Wat ga je doen?

  • Je bent het eerste aanspreekpunt van de gedetineerden.
  • Je zorgt voor een veilige omgeving voor hen, je collega's en bezoekers.
  • Je begeleidt gedetineerden van onthaal tot vrijlating.
  • Je luistert naar hun vragen en verwijst door naar de juiste persoon.
  • Je begeleidt bezoek, wandelingen en andere activiteiten.
  • Je controleert de toegang en verblijfsruimtes en fouilleert gedetineerden.
  • Je meldt verdachte gebeurtenissen en defecte veiligheidsinstallaties.
  • Je bedient oproep- en camerasystemen en elektrische deuren.
  • Bij een crisis help je collega's snel.

Je werkt in ochtend-, namiddag- of nachtdienst, ook in het weekend en op feestdagen.

Het eerste jaar volg je opleiding en doe je praktijkervaring op.

Over de werkgever

Het Directoraat-generaal Penitentiaire Inrichtingen van de FOD Justitie telt 39 gevangenissen en 10 500 medewerkers. Je werkt in de gevangenis van Hasselt, de gevangenis van Leuven-Centraal of de hulpgevangenis van Leuven. Samen werken we aan een betere en veiligere samenleving.

Selectieprocedure

  1. We screenen jouw diploma, instapkaart en/of benoemingsbesluit.
  2. Je legt meerdere testen op computer af bij werkenvoor.be in Brussel.
  3. Je doet een interview in een van de drie gevangenissen.
