Santa Monica Veterinary Group is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team and provide dedicated support for surgery, anesthesia, and dental procedures.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who wants to fully utilize their skillset with autonomy, trust, and support in a fast-paced, collaborative general practice environment. From induction through recovery, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, high-quality patient care alongside a veterinary team that values skilled technicians.
Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinating surgical and dental procedure schedules
- Inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia patients
- Assisting veterinarians during surgical procedures
- Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
- Monitoring patient recovery and ongoing procedural care
- Guiding clients through patient admission and discharge with confidence and compassion
Schedule and Compensation:
- Compensation: $35.50 - $40 per hour, for each hour worked
- This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Sunday.

Minimum Qualifications and Skill Set:
- 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of California**
- Proficiency in the following skills: Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques Client education and communication Strong critical thinking and attention to detail Effective teamwork and professional communication skills Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning
**Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply
