Are you ready for your next adventure? Ensure you meet the following requirements:
Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) License with S & M2 ratings, or S rating only (original documentation required). At least 5 years of structures experience on large transport aircraft or an equivalent environment. Hands-on experience completing a variety of minor and major repairs and modifications. Flexibility to work shifts and occasional overtime as operational needs require. Willingness to travel throughout the WestJet network when needed. Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a physical environment that may require climbing, kneeling, and maneuvering in confined spaces. Strong computer skills, including experience with maintenance systems and Microsoft Office applications. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
What You'll Do:
Exercise Aircraft Certification Authority privileges in support of WestJet aircraft operations.
Partner with our Line Maintenance teams to support scheduled checks, IROPS, and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events.
Collaborate with skilled maintenance professionals to ensure aircraft are repaired and maintained safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards across the WestJet network.
Complete and maintain accurate maintenance documentation in accordance with Airworthiness Certification Authority requirements.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and leadership to mechanics and apprentices involved in maintenance activities.
Act in alignment with WestJet's values, policies, and Code of Conduct, always supporting the best interests of the company and our guests.
Contribute to a positive team environment and take on additional responsibilities as required.
Successful candidates will be required to meet the following conditions of employment:
Obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) issued by Transport Canada Obtain and maintain Airside Vehicle Operators Permits (AVOP). Must have a valid Driver’s Licence and a clean driver’s abstract Complete a pre-employment assessment to measure physical ability and fitness for the position including audiometric testing Produce a clear police background and criminal record check Pass a pre-employment alcohol and drug screening test for substances including Alcohol, Psychoactive Substances, Illicit Drugs and Cannabis
