Corporate Financial Controller Rotterdam | Finance

Westlake Epoxy is onderdeel van Westlake Corporation, een wereldwijd opererend productiebedrijf met circa 16.000 medewerkers. Westlake Epoxy ontwikkelt en produceert hoogwaardige epoxy-oplossingen voor uiteenlopende industriële toepassingen, waaronder duurzame energie, composietmaterialen, automotive en coatings. In Nederland zijn wij gevestigd in Rotterdam en maken wij deel uit van een internationale organisatie met activiteiten over de hele wereld.

Voor ons Finance team zijn wij op zoek naar een analytische en proactieve Corporate Financial Controller. In deze rol ben je verantwoordelijk voor een correcte financiële verslaglegging onder US GAAP en speel je een belangrijke rol in de maand-, kwartaal- en jaarafsluitingen van meerdere (inter)nationale entiteiten. Je schakelt frequent met finance collega's, auditors en shared serviceteams en combineert financiële expertise met een hands-on mentaliteit.

Wat ga je doen?

Als Corporate Financial Controller ben je verantwoordelijk voor het coördineren en uitvoeren van diverse financiële en accountingactiviteiten binnen een internationale omgeving.

Je werkzaamheden bestaan onder andere uit:

  • Coördineren en uitvoeren van maand-, kwartaal- en jaarafsluitingen voor entiteiten in Nederland, België, het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Brazilië.
  • Opstellen en coördineren van lokale jaarrekeningen en ondersteuning bij vennootschapsbelastingaangiftes.
  • Fungeren als eerste aanspreekpunt voor externe auditors.
  • Ondersteunen van transfer pricing compliance activiteiten voor verschillende Nederlandse entiteiten.
  • Voorbereiden van kwartaalrapportages op het gebied van personeelskosten en belastingen onder US GAAP.
  • Verantwoordelijk voor de wereldwijde lease accounting conform US GAAP.
  • Beheren van leasecontractmutaties, rapportages en periodieke afsluitingen.
  • Signaleren van procesverbeteringen en bijdragen aan verdere optimalisatie van financiële processen.
  • Verzorgen van aanvullende financiële rapportages en statistische verplichtingen, zoals CBS-aangiften.
  • Intensief samenwerken met lokale controllers, corporate controllers en het internationale shared service center.

Wie zoeken wij? Je bent een analytische en nauwkeurige financial professional die graag verantwoordelijkheid neemt en zich thuis voelt in een internationale omgeving. Je weet financiële vraagstukken te vertalen naar heldere inzichten en bent in staat zowel zelfstandig als in samenwerking met verschillende stakeholders resultaten te boeken. Daarnaast werk je gestructureerd, houd je overzicht onder tijdsdruk en zie je kansen om processen verder te verbeteren.

Daarnaast beschik je over:

  • Een afgeronde HBO- of WO-opleiding in Finance, Accountancy of een vergelijkbare richting.
  • Je hebt 2 - 5 jaar relevante ervaring binnen accounting, controlling of financiële verslaggeving in een internationale organisatie.
  • Gedegen kennis van financiële verslaggevingsstandaarden en accountingprincipes (US GAAP vereist; kennis van UK, Nederlandse en Belgische verslaggevingsstandaarden is een voordeel).
  • Ervaring met SAP en geavanceerde kennis van Excel.
  • Ervaring met BlackLine is een pre.
  • Ervaring met auditprocessen en statutaire verslaglegging.
  • Goede beheersing van de Nederlandse en Engelse taal, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk.
