The posting

About the Team/Role

WEX Corporate Payments helps businesses manage and process card-based payments across complex payment networks and processing platforms. As Product Manager, you will work across product and project management to expand corporate payment card options, support new currencies and global capabilities, and ensure WEX processing platforms remain aligned with Mastercard and Visa requirements. This role is a central connection point between payment networks and internal product, engineering, treasury and operational teams. It is well suited to someone who enjoys payments technology, implementation delivery, vendor relationships and improving complex workflows.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with a balanced focus on project execution and product lifecycle management. You will coordinate card product, BIN, currency and processor implementations while also reviewing network bulletins, assessing platform impacts, refining work with impacted teams and helping maintain compliance across TAG, t-Chek and ePP.

What You’ll Do

  • Review Mastercard and Visa bulletins and mandates, identify changes that affect WEX processing platforms, and coordinate timely communication and action with impacted teams.
  • Help ensure processing platforms remain compliant with card-network requirements, reducing the risk of non-compliance fees and impacts to network licenses.
  • Coordinate implementation of new card products, BINs and currency options, including processor configuration, testing, timelines, reviews and approvals.
  • Work with Mastercard, Visa and internal vendors/partners to clarify requirements, manage dependencies and deliver implementation projects.
  • Partner with engineering teams and other product managers to refine epics and requirements, prioritize work, manage backlogs and deliver roadmap commitments.
  • Coordinate across WEX Bank, European issuing entities, Treasury, Commercial Solutions, Fraud, Disputes, Accounting and other stakeholders to understand impacts and align delivery.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative information to assess customer and business needs, inform prioritization and evaluate outcomes.
  • Improve end-to-end workflows for mandate intake, impact assessment, routing, implementation and tracking; explore AI and automation where they can reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
  • Communicate status, risks, tradeoffs and decisions clearly to stakeholders and influence progress without direct authority.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology or a related field. Candidates with substantial card-network or payments experience may be considered without a degree on a case-by-case basis.
  • Approximately 3–7 years of product management experience, with relevant experience in card processing products, payment networks or related platforms.
  • Experience leading projects and coordinating with vendors and cross-functional partners to deliver critical implementations.
  • Ability to partner closely with engineering and product teams to prioritize work and deliver features or platform changes.
  • Experience identifying customer or business problems, prioritizing roadmaps, writing detailed requirements, managing backlogs and maintaining clear documentation.
  • Strong execution and project coordination skills, including managing timelines, dependencies, testing and approvals.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify root causes, develop recommendations and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders across teams and levels without direct authority.
  • A continuous-learning mindset and willingness to test hypotheses, experiment and iterate.
  • An end-to-end view of the product lifecycle, from discovery and implementation through first use, support and ongoing compliance.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree.
  • Fintech domain knowledge, particularly card processing and payment networks.
  • Understanding of the end-to-end payment lifecycle, including authorization, clearing and settlement.
  • Experience navigating regulatory or network compliance requirements while balancing business and customer needs.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification or similar process-oriented training.
  • Experience applying AI or automation to improve workflow efficiency, information intake, impact assessment or documentation.

Why This Role Matters

This role helps WEX grow its Corporate Payments card product options and respond to market demand for expanded network capabilities while protecting the business from missed Mastercard and Visa requirements. You will help connect a high volume of network changes to the teams responsible for assessing and implementing them, and you will have the opportunity to shape a more effective end-to-end workflow across a large, cross-functional organization.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. WEX's comprehensive and market competitive benefits are designed to support your personal and professional well-being. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
