The posting

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Product Manager to define and lead the Unsecured Lending Operations (ULO) Servicing and Collections data portfolio. This role sets product direction and priorities for trusted, reusable operational and analytical data capabilities that support customer servicing, collections, recovery, communications, payment assistance, digital experiences, reporting, and responsible AI initiatives.

The successful candidate will connect business needs with data strategy and delivery. They will establish a domain-centered approach to data ownership, guide modernization and priority migration to the Authoritative Data Store (ADS), and partner across Product, Technology, Operations, Data & Analytics, Architecture, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Information Security. This is a portfolio leadership role: it owns strategy, investment tradeoffs, governance alignment, adoption, and measurable outcomes rather than the day-to-day backlog of a single Scrum team.

In this role, you will:

  • Define and execute the Servicing and Collections data product strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities in alignment with ULO business objectives and enterprise data standards.
  • Lead a prioritized domain data baseline across Servicing and Collections: identify important data produced and consumed, its business and technical meaning, owners, authoritative sources, downstream users, quality expectations, and cross-domain differences. Track readiness gaps and prioritize the capabilities needed to address them.
  • Lead development of reusable operational and analytical data products that authorized consumers can find, assess, access, and use. Establish clear ownership, purpose, permitted uses, definitions, quality expectations, support, known limitations, and change notifications.
  • Partner with domain leaders, data stewards, engineering, and architecture to establish practical standards for data events, metadata, data contracts, lineage, and publishing to operational and analytical environments.
  • Drive prioritization and migration of data capabilities to the ADS and cloud-aligned solutions, accounting for source-system changes, integration dependencies, continuity, and adoption.
  • Improve data quality, consistency, timeliness, and traceability by defining measurable expectations, surfacing issues, assigning ownership, and prioritizing remediation with delivery partners.
  • Work with analytics and AI partners to identify approved data needed for reporting, feature development, model training, and AI-enabled experiences; address readiness gaps without assuming every use case is production-ready.
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Privacy, and Information Security to incorporate appropriate data access, permitted use, retention, security, and governance requirements into product decisions.
  • Align stakeholders across servicing, collections, recovery, communications, and digital initiatives on shared definitions, sequencing, dependencies, and tradeoffs; resolve competing priorities and escalate enterprise decisions when needed.
  • Lead discovery with data producers and consumers, translate business problems into product opportunities and delivery outcomes, and guide Product Owners and delivery teams on priorities and acceptance expectations.
  • Define measures of product adoption, data reliability, reuse, and business value; review results after release and adjust the roadmap based on evidence and stakeholder feedback.
  • Communicate strategy, progress, risks, decisions, and value clearly to senior leaders and cross-functional partners; mentor less experienced product colleagues as appropriate.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of experience leading a data product or data platform portfolio across multiple business domains, with accountability for strategy, prioritization, delivery, adoption, and value measurement
  • 5+ years of experience working with data models, source-to-consumer flows, data integration patterns, operational and analytical data needs, or data quality measures, including experience using SQL or similar tools to investigate and validate data
  • 3+ years of experience defining data products, including business definitions, ownership, metadata, lineage, access requirements, and data quality expectations in partnership with technology and data governance teams
  • 5+ years of experience partnering with product, engineering, architecture, operations, data governance, risk, compliance, privacy, or information security teams to deliver cross-functional data capabilities

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with domain-oriented data governance, cloud data modernization, enterprise data stores, event-driven integration, or reusable data services
  • Ability to translate complex data and technology decisions into plain-language business tradeoffs and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
  • Experience supporting analytics, machine learning, or generative AI use cases through governed, fit-for-purpose data rather than treating AI delivery as a substitute for data readiness
  • Knowledge of lending operations, including servicing and collections, and familiarity with the regulatory landscape and data governance requirements that shape how customer and account data is managed, accessed, shared, and used
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, written communication, and executive presentation skills

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule
  • Adherence to in-office attendance expectations
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
