We're incredibly proud of our team and their commitment to act with integrity, strive for operational excellence, and go the extra mile for our customers and the communities we serve.

How Do You Fit In?

Reporting to the Operations Superintendent, this position requires the successful incumbent to initially work 9-hour day shifts during the training program. Following the training, this position would then transition to working a varied day and night rotating shift schedule.

You Will

  • Achieve the safe, efficient and environmentally sound operations of all EEEP equipment and connecting pipelines.
  • Provide quick identification and response to emergency situations. Understand, abide by, and follow Emergency Response Procedures.
  • Work with the Senior Operator or Operations Team Lead to continually improve site-specific training, process safety management, and special projects. Also update operating procedures by scheduled review or immediately if conditions require.
  • Respond during unit upsets, adverse conditions, or serious situations using team members, management, or external expertise as required.
  • Ensure that all work activities on site comply with all AltaGas guidelines, EOH&S requirements, codes of practice, and other policies, and address concerns immediately while notifying the Senior Operator or Operations Team Lead as required.
  • Troubleshoot process equipment and concerns, communicate and assist other outside operators when required.
  • Participate in pre-jobs and work permitting and be responsible to the control room to ensure non-routine or high-risk jobs are reported to and approved by the Senior Operator or Operations Team Lead.
  • Prepare equipment for maintenance following all process and safety procedures including lock out/tag out, personal protective equipment, confined space entry, and environmental performance standards.
  • Ensure good housekeeping in assigned units and assist in cleaning any areas that may present safety or environmental hazards.
  • Continuously improve skills and knowledge to enhance professional competence and effectively complete responsibilities and job tasks. Be responsible for learning new systems and processes in the facility as they are installed.
  • Report any health, safety, security, environmental, or EOH&S management system incidents, concerns, or near misses. Report and record all non-conformances (environmental and medical aid, etc.).
  • Be available to assist the maintenance department in the capacity of general maintenance.
  • Generate work orders for equipment with the Senior Operator or Operations Team Lead for review and enter work order requests for equipment repairs in the Maximo system.
  • Assist in plant inspections as required and serve as a member of the Plant HS&E Committee as required.
  • Maintain sensitive and confidential company information.
  • Be willing to work required overtime.
  • Perform other duties deemed necessary for the safe and effective operation of EEEP.

You Have:

  • Understanding of environmental impacts, health, safety, and security risks.
  • H2S Alive, First Aid, CPR, and Confined Space Entry certifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret operating manuals and plant P&IDs.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
