Job Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial automation equipment.

You will work with advanced automation systems, robotics and electrical/electronic components, providing technical support to customers and ensuring optimal machine performance. This role offers opportunities to gain exposure to various automation technologies and overseas assignments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of industrial automation systems, including machine setup, software configuration and onsite equipment acceptance testing.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, including electrical/electronic circuits, servo motors, robotic systems and machine software, to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Configure electronic controllers, PCs, robotic software and automation equipment to ensure smooth system integration and optimal machine performance.
  • Provide timely onsite and remote technical support, working closely with customers and internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues within service requirements.
  • Prepare detailed service reports, document troubleshooting activities and provide technical recommendations to improve equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial automation, equipment servicing, machine commissioning or technical support.
  • Hands-on knowledge of electrical/electronic components, servo motors, robotics, PC configuration and automation software.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret electrical circuits, equipment log files and machine process flows to diagnose technical issues.
  • Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and travel overseas on short notice when required.
