Souper Tang is expanding in Singapore, and we are looking for a dedicated, hands-on and results-driven Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our growing team.

This is an opportunity for an experienced F&B professional to take an active role in managing restaurant operations, developing people and driving business performance. Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will help ensure exceptional customer experiences, strong operational standards and effective cost management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Restaurant Operations

  • Oversee daily Front-of-House (FOH) and Back-of-House (BOH) operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, customer service, cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs and applicable Singapore regulatory requirements.
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally and implement appropriate corrective actions.

2. Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead, coach and motivate team members to achieve operational and service standards.
  • Prepare staff schedules, manage manpower deployment and ensure adequate staffing coverage.
  • Support staff training, performance management and employee development.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability and a positive working environment.

3. Sales and Cost Management

  • Monitor sales performance, labour costs, inventory and operating expenses.
  • Implement cost-control measures to minimise wastage and improve productivity.
  • Maintain effective stock control and ensure proper use of restaurant resources.
  • Prepare operational reports, review performance and recommend improvements.
  • Work with the Operations Manager to achieve sales, productivity and profitability targets.

4. Business Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Support company promotions, business initiatives and operational improvement projects.
  • Contribute to outlet growth through effective leadership and consistent execution of company standards.

Job Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, F&B Management, Restaurant Management or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant F&B experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong leadership, team management and decision-making abilities.
  • Good understanding of restaurant operations, manpower planning, inventory control and cost management.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-oriented, commercially aware and committed to service excellence.
  • Responsible, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays according to the restaurant's operating schedule.
