Whitehaven is seeking a motivated Surveyor to join our 2027 Graduate Program. Designed to develop the next generation of industry professionals and future leaders, this two-year program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a leading Australian resources company.   Through a combination of practical on-the-job learning, structured development activities and mentoring from experienced site hosts, you'll build the technical and professional skills needed to succeed. You'll also participate in a rotation program, providing exposure to a variety of operational environments, helping you develop a broad understanding of our business and the role you play in its success.   Rotations are based across our operations in the Gunnedah and Narrabri regions of New South Wales, Blackwater and Moranbah in Queensland, and our corporate offices in Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane.   What You'll Do:

Support daily mine surveying activities across site. Conduct field surveys using GPS, drones, laser scanning and other modern survey technologies. Assist with volume calculations, production reconciliation, reporting and spatial data management. Support survey set-out activities for mine designs, drill patterns, infrastructure and operational works. Develop skills in survey software, mine planning systems and geospatial data tools. Collaborate with engineers, geologists and operations teams to support safe, compliant and efficient mining.

  What You'll Bring:

A degree or relevant qualification in Surveying, Spatial Science, Mine Surveying or a related discipline. A genuine interest in the mining industry. Strong communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills. A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn from experienced site teams. A commitment to safety, integrity, and continuous improvement. A willingness to live and work in regional or site-based locations as required.
