The posting

At WHOOP, we're on a mission to unlock human performance. WHOOP empowers members to perform at a higher level through a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives.

As an Apparel & Accessories Inventory Planner, you will own inventory levels and buy plans for assigned categories and SKUs to support business objectives and achieve financial targets. Reporting to the Senior Inventory Planning Manager, you will manage day-to-day inventory planning and purchasing activities while supporting broader departmental planning initiatives. You will collaborate closely with fellow Inventory Planners, Product Marketing, Go-to-Market (GTM), FP&A, and Operations teams to ensure optimal inventory levels for new product launches, seasonal assortments, and ongoing business needs. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in inventory planning and analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Partner with D2C Product Marketing Managers to align inventory plans with product launches, seasonal color stories, and assortment strategies. Develop SKU-level inventory plans across D2C channels and markets to support business needs and product availability.

- Own inventory health and replenishment planning for assigned categories and SKUs. Monitor inventory levels, analyze selling trends, and proactively identify risks and opportunities, including potential stockouts, excess inventory, and slow-moving products. Recommend actions to optimize inventory productivity and availability.

- Translate demand forecasts, sales trends, and product insights into SKU-level buy quantities. Execute purchase orders and adjust purchasing recommendations based on evolving demand, inventory availability, and business priorities.

- Maintain accurate inventory and on-order positions to support the Open-to-Buy (OTB) process. Provide bottom-up analysis of inventory needs, upcoming purchases, and potential risks to inform category-level inventory and financial plans.

- Partner with Supply Chain to align inventory requirements with production lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), supplier capacity, and shipping timelines. Proactively identify and communicate potential supply constraints.

- Support inventory allocation and distribution across D2C channels and markets, ensuring the right products are available in the right locations at the right time while balancing customer demand and inventory efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3+ years of experience in inventory management, demand planning, merchandise planning or allocation planning within a consumer goods or innovation-driven industry

- Advanced Excel skills and a strong understanding of retail math required.

- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and demand and inventory planning platforms (e.g., o9, Anaplan, Blue Yonder, or similar tools) is a plus.

- Experience with AI tools or analytics platforms is a plus, especially for forecasting or demand modeling.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into strategic decisions.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams across operations, supply chain, and marketing.

- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments with competing priorities and tight deadlines.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
