The posting

Special Education-CDC Teacher (Elementary)

This position will receive a $3,000 yearly supplement and is eligible for an additional $3,000 sign-on bonus.

JOB GOAL

To give specialized academic and physical training to special needs students.

QUALIFICATIONS

Holds a valid Tennessee teacher's license with appropriate endorsement, has strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills; and meets health and physical requirements.

Teachers assigned to a Comprehensive Development Classroom (CDC) must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the Tennessee Special Education Comprehensive Program K–12 endorsement (code 461). An active Tennessee license carrying the equivalent Provisional Special Education Comprehensive K–12 endorsement (code 195) may also be considered.

Applicants who do not currently hold endorsement 461 may be eligible to complete a Tennessee-approved job-embedded educator preparation program. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, meet the program’s minimum 2.5 GPA requirement, and pass Praxis 5547—Special Education: Severe to Profound—before they can receive the appropriate teaching license and serve as the teacher of record. Candidates must also complete all remaining educator preparation and state licensure requirements within the required timelines.

Candidates who have not yet passed Praxis 5547 may be considered for employment as a substitute in the CDC classroom while preparing for the assessment. The candidate must complete the Wilson County Schools substitute hiring process and will remain employed and paid as a substitute until the required assessment is passed, the appropriate Tennessee license is issued, and the candidate is approved for employment as a licensed teacher.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
