Job Description

WHO WE ARE

We’re not in the wing business. We’re in the flavor business. It’s been our mission to Serve the World Flavor since we first opened in 1994, and we’re just getting started. 1997 saw the opening of our first brand partner operated Wingstop location, and by 2002 we had served the world one billion wings. It’s flavor that defines us and has made Wingstop one of the fastest growing brands in the restaurant industry.

Above all else – our success is largely due to our people and our core values, or what we call The Wingstop Way of being entrepreneurial, service-minded, fun, and authentic. We believe having a strong people foundation centered on these collective values creates a crave-worthy culture and talented team, as well as ensures our brand is poised for accelerated growth. We all win together.

WHAT WE'LL NEED

The Director of Analytics – Center of Excellence plays a critical role in powering Wingstop’s next stage of growth by turning data into a true competitive advantage. This leader will champion best-in-class analytics function that fuels smarter decisions, sharper strategies, and stronger restaurant performance across the system. Blending strategic vision with hands-on leadership, the Director will build and scale analytics capabilities, elevate how we use data across the business, and partner closely with cross-functional leaders to unlock insights that drive sales, guest engagement, and operational excellence.

At Wingstop, where flavor and innovation set us apart, this role ensures our analytics approach is just as bold—connecting data to real business impact in a fast-moving, high-growth environment to:

  • Lead a high-performing analytics team, with primary ownership of a core analytics vertical (e.g., Revenue, Consumer & Guest Insights, or Development), delivering insights that drive measurable business impact.
  • Serve as the analytics lead for the assigned vertical, owning performance insights, prioritization, and partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Partner cross-functionally to translate business needs into actionable insights and analytics, driving improvements in sales, restaurant performance, and guest engagement.
  • Proactively identify key business drivers, trends, and opportunities through advanced analysis, translating insights into clear recommendations that influence decision-making.
  • Support enterprise priorities beyond the core vertical, contributing to cross-functional initiatives and gaining exposure to adjacent domains (e.g., digital, development, guest experience, pricing).
  • Build and enhance core analytics capabilities such as forecasting, customer segmentation, attribution, and test-and-learn frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting that surface actionable insights, trends, and performance drivers.
  • Partner with Data, IT, and MarTech teams to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and effective use of analytics tools.
  • Contribute to the evolution of analytics best practices and frameworks in collaboration with broader analytics leadership.
  • Communicate insights clearly to stakeholders, influencing decisions through data-driven storytelling and strong business context. WHAT YOU'LL NEED Bachelor’s degree in a business (finance, strategy, economics), industrial engineering, statistics, or similar field required; advanced degree such as an MBA or Master’s in Analytics/Business preferred. Proficient with advanced excel, SQL, BI tools, ML concepts 8-10 years of experience in finance, consulting, or business intelligence 5+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights that drive business results Strong experience partnering cross-functionally with senior stakeholders Experience driving AI adoption and leveraging advanced analytics/AI tools to enhance decision-making and business outcomes Demonstrated strength in leading teams, setting direction, and driving accountability for results Experience coaching and developing team members to enhance performance and career growth Strong ability to communicate insights effectively to executive audiences Expertise in data storytelling, translating complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives with executive presence WHO YOU ARE No job is too small. You recognize that the real work happens in the restaurants, and everything we do should support their success. You stay humble, roll up your sleeves, and always look for ways to help. You learn from others and contribute wherever you can. You care deeply about doing great work and driving results. You’re curious, ask questions, and seek out opportunities to improve. You don’t just point out problems—you bring solutions, ideas, and perspectives that move the team forward. You take full responsibility for your work and see things through to completion. You aren’t afraid to fail because you know that failure is a part of learning and growth. You take action, move fast, and keep pushing forward. You lead with empathy, respect, and emotional intelligence. You collaborate effectively, fostering a culture of trust and constructive feedback. You understand the importance of teamwork and ensure that your actions build others up rather than break them down. You push yourself and others to be better. You embrace healthy conflict, knowing that great ideas and strong teams emerge from honest, constructive conversations. You believe that leaders create leaders and are committed to fostering a culture of growth, challenge, and continuous improvement. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
