The posting

WireScreen is a fast-growing Series A startup bringing clarity to one of the world’s most complex business landscapes. We’re building the go-to intelligence platform for navigating global supply chains and China-related risk—revealing the networks, relationships, and financial ties behind companies so our customers can see connections, remove obstacles, and make confident decisions.

Backed by Sequoia Capital and Harpoon Ventures, our team includes a two-time Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist and senior engineers from Google, Twitter, and Oracle. We launched just three years ago and already have strong traction with top-tier government customers—and we’re just getting started. If you’re excited to make global systems more transparent and secure, now’s the perfect time to join us.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

WireScreen is expanding its coverage of the semiconductor industry and we’re hiring a specialized analyst to own this area. You’ll be our internal and external subject matter expert, providing deep analysis and research of the industry’s key players, technologies, supply chains, and major developments. This role reports directly to the COO.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

- Research, analyze, and map the global semiconductor industry and its subsectors from end-to-end

- Keep our industry knowledge up-to-date by attending conferences, reading industry publications and speaking with other experts to identify significant developments

- As the subject-matter expert, work closely with our product and engineering teams to improve coverage of the semiconductor and related industries in the WireScreen platform

- Write reports for a variety of audiences including our customers, prospective customers, and internal stakeholders on key industry topics

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline

- 3+ years of experience writing about or researching the semiconductor industry

- Deep knowledge of and passion for the semiconductor industry and its supply chain

NICE TO HAVE:

- Master's degree

- Published reports, articles, or research on the semiconductor industry that you’re able to share as part of the application process

- Experience mapping supply chains at the input/technology level

- Experience using OSINT research methods

- Have presented research findings externally — at conferences, in publications, or to outside audiences

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
